Not hidding anymore

A/N: So here it is, it was kinda hard to write and I still feel like it's weird but I think it turned out okay. I hope you enjoy! Please comment if you do!

The next morning Elphaba woke up to find that Galinda had taken of her glasses and put a blanket over her while she was sleeping. She assumed she had fallen asleep while reading her book, she smiled and thanked her friend in her head for not leaving her like that, then she remembered what had happened the day before and her smile quickly disappeared, leaving an empty feeling instead.

She looked at the clock In the wall and decided she would go down to the cafeteria and buy some breakfast before classes started. She looked over to Galinda's bed to find her still sleeping peacefully, she decided to leave a note in case the blonde woke up before she returned. She took a paper from her desk, quickly scribbled a message and left it on top of her bed. Then she dressed and left the room.

As she was walking down the hall she saw Nessa in the distance, apparently, also going to the cafeteria, so she quickly caught up and said "Morning Nessie, did you sleep well?" Nessarose looked up abruptly visibly startled by her older sister "Oh Elphaba you frightened me! Don't sneak up on me like that!" She scolded her sister, Elphaba just laughed, but at her sisters serious look,v she changed her expression and said "Oh come on! I'm sorry I didn't mean to Nessie" at her sisters expression she added "well maybe I did but I meant no harm, I'm sorry Nessa" "it's alright, and to answer your question, yes , I did sleep well, did you?" Elphaba smiled again "Yes I did, thank you. And what are you doing, going to the cafeteria this early in the morning?" "Oh I just wanted to eat something before class, what about you?" "Me too" there was an awkward silence, neither of them knowing what to say. "So how are things going with Galinda?" At the mention of her roommate Elphabas's face saddened and her gaze fell on the floor especially because Nessa made that sound as if they were a couple and Elphaba knew that would never happen. "What is it? Is something wrong? Did you too fight?" Elphaba really didn't want to get into that conversation with her sister, what would she even say?Oh nothing! I'm just in love with her, as in, I'm gay, I'm into girls, oh, father will be so proud! Now, go pray for my sinner soul. Have a nice day. That certainly wouldn't work at all, so Elphaba chose to lie "No, we are totally fine I just ummm I remembered something I read yesterday in a book, did you know that Animals nowadays have less than half of the rights people have? Isn't that depressing?" Nessa looked a her skeptically.

That day when Galinda woke up she was surprised to see no one on the other bed. Upon closer examination she discovered Elphabas's note on her pillow and relaxed as she slowly read it.

Galinda smiled, Elphaba had no idea how much meaning that letter had for her. Oh! Right! She had to start operation "Get Elphie" as she had decided to call it last night, and as she had also decided the night before, the first step was to break up with Fiyero. She actually loved Fiyero, a lot, but he was just a friend to her now. She was also going to be honest about why she was breaking up with him, she didn't care if he judged her, she was going to tell him she loved Elphaba. She put the letter down on Elphabas's desk and got her dress and her coat, she took a quick shower and left room 22 in search of her soon to be, ex boyfriend.

She found him outside, in the garden sitting in a bench, looking towards the lake. He seemed lost in his thoughts so she approached him slowly and careful not to frighten him. She sat slowly next to him and he smiled and said "Hey! How is my beautiful girlfriend doing?" Apparently this was going to be harder than she originally thought. "Fine! How are you?" But her voice visibly cracked making it very obvious that she wasn't, well fine. "What's wrong? You are not fine, what happened?" "No, I'm okay, really" "Did something happen with Elphaba?" She just couldn't take it anymore she burst out crying and hugged him tightly, he hugged her back. "Oh, Lynn please tell me what's wrong, I don't like seeing you like this" she decided it wasn't fair for him to be ignorant of what was happening, so between sobs she managed to say "I'm sorry Fiyero, I. . . . I. . . I, we have to break up" He suddenly pulled away from the hug and looked at her, confused. "What?" She looked at him apologetically. "I think I'm in love with someone else, it. . . . . It isn't fair, to you" he seemed to think about what she said before saying "Who is it?" She took a deep breath, she was having second thoughts about the whole 'being honest' thing now. "It's Elphaba, isn't it?" He spoke again and looked into her eyes. "I. . . . You don't understand, I love her so much, please don't hate me!" Fiyero had seen this coming, ever since the fight between the two girls he had noticed how much Galinda needed her roommate and he had started suspecting but he didn't think Galinda would actually do anything, he thought her reputation meant more to her. "I don't, I actually saw this coming" she looked at him with shock. "You did?" He smiled. "She calls you my sweet for Oz,s sake! The shock is that this didn't happen before" then his expression turned serious again."the only think I do want to know is if you ever cheated on me" "Oh no! I swear I didn't! I haven't even told her anything yet, I don't even know if she loves me back" He smiled again, relieved that she hadn't betrayed his trust."Im positive she does, I've seen the way she looks at you" Galinda finally smiled too. "You think?" he put his arm around her. "I know" She felt so relieved. "I'm sorry I broke up with you, I'm sure you'll find an amazing girl who is, you know, not into green girls" he laughed. "It's okay, I'm happy for you. And now you must tell me what your plan is" "Are you really okay with this?" He hugged her more tightly and said. "I love you for who you are, I'm happy you are not hiding anymore" They stayed there, talking, until they noticed they were going to be late for class. But as Fiyero would say, they were going to be fashionably late.
