The next morning Elphaba woke up to see blonde locks in the pillow next to her. She abruptly moved to the other side of the bed. 'Oh my! We didn't . . . . . . Did we?' Her movement startled Galinda who woke up and nearly fell out of bed when she saw her there. "Holy Oz! Did we. . . . . . ?!" She said worriedly. "I don't know! Don't you remember!?" "Would I be asking if I knew!?" Elphaba rolled her eyes. "Okay, clam down, see if you remember anything" They both looked at each other in despair until the blonde spoke. "Oh wait! I remember! Last night you asked me to come sleep in your bed, nothing happened" Elphaba sighed with relief. "Good" they both smiled and nervously laughed. 'She is so relieved, surely, the thought of sleeping with me repulsed her to no end' Thought Elphaba. The relief on her friends eyes was evident, she was also glad that nothing had happened, but she presumed it was because of different reasons. She wouldn't want to ruin their friendship because of a mistake.
Galinda was having similar thoughts, she was very relieved that nothing had happened but not for the reasons Elphaba thought. She was relieved because she knew that if they had done something like that, Elphaba would be scared and she would probably loose her forever. "Well then, we should start getting ready, If I remember correctly, we made plans to meet with the gang in that cafe you like" with those words, Elphaba rose from the bed and picked some clothes from her closet. "Yes, I think we said we'd be there at eight" Elphaba turned her head to see that Galinda had sat on the bed. It was a beautiful sight, even without make up and still in her nightgown, Galinda looked gorgeous as ever, the morning light that came from the window making her skin shine and her bright blue eyes looking at her intently. It was too much, she had to get away. "Well then, I'm going to shower, I won't take long and then I'll leave the bathroom to you" She went inside the bathroom and closed the door. Soon, Galinda could hear the water falling on the marble floor of the shower. She finally raised from the bed as well and thought to herself 'I have to tell her today, but how? What will I say? most importantly, what will she say?' She walked to her bed and started to pick an outfit. She settled for a white knee-length dress that hugged her curves perfectly and some high heels in the same color. Then she waited for Elphaba to come out of the shower.

About an hour later, they were ready to leave. They both walked out of their room and towards the cafe they were supposed to meet in with their friends. Once they were outside, they saw Nessa, Boq, Fiyero, Avaric, Pfannee and Shenshen sitting in a table near the window. "Are you sure you are okay with Fiyero? Won't it be really awkward?" Galinda giggled. "I don't think that will be a problem, he didn't seem to mind." And before Elphaba could stop herself she oppened her mouth and said "I would mind if you broke up with me, I would be crushed" they both stared at each other, Galinda felt butterflies in her stomach, but Boq saw them talking in the window and started calling for them to come sit with them. Elphaba extended her arm to her roommate . "Shall we, Miss Galinda?" She said playfully. Galinda giggled at Elphabas's property, took her by the arm and answered being equally playfull. "I think we shall, Miss Elphaba" They'll both walked inside of the cafe, joined by the arm and sat with all the others.
"How are you girls doing?" Said Fiyero with a knowing look. Galinda, who had decided to sit next to him, kicked him under the table. "We are fine Fiyero" she said. "Nothing, interesting happened last night?" At this comment the whole group of friends looked at him, confused, wondering what he meant. "May I talk to you? I mean, in private" said the blonde with a look that would make anyone be afraid. "Sure Lynn" they both left the group and walked to a corner in the local. "What is it?" Said Fiyero. Galinda and Fiyero had agreed that the blonde would talk to Elphaba the night before, but Galinda hadn't said anything yet. "I didn't . . . . . Tell her anything yet" She said in a whisper. "What? Why not?, it would have been perfect!" He said, looking disappointed "I know, I know, but I just couldn't do it! It's not as easy as it looks. Elphie is . . . . . Unpredictable" "So, you didn't even tell her we broke up?" The small girl sighed. "Well, I did tell her that, and I also said that I was in love with a girl, but when she asked who she was, I . . . I just couldn't do it" Fiyero looked at her disapprovingly but soon smiled again. "Well it's okay because, as you probably already know I am amazing and I happen to have a new plan" Galinda shook her head. "No, no more plans. Why can't I just tell her when I damn well please?" He chucked lightly. "I promise you will like this one" he looked at her pleadingly. "Fine. What do I have to do?" He grinned "Do you know that old big tree next to the lake? Take her there this afternoon, tell her I was supposed to come so that it doesn't seem weird and have a picnic there" "Why there?" He looked at her mischievously "It's a surprise, all you need to know is that it is the perfect setting for telling her how you feel. Now, let's get back to the table before a certain green girl gets jealous of my previously mentioned amazingness" this time, Galinda hit him really hard.

"Do we really have to go Glin?"Elphaba was walking rapidly behind Galinda, trying to catch up. They were walking through the halls of Shiz, directed to the gardens. "Yes. I promised Fiyero we would go" Elphaba rolled her eyes. "But, he is your ex boyfriend, what if he wants to like, get back together or something? Wouldn't I be intruding?" Galinda smiled, then, she quickly tried to think of a convincing lie. "Precisely, I have no desires to get back together and I presume that if you are there, he won't try to approach me" At this Elphaba smirked, her friend really didn't want to get back with Fiyero, and she was asking for her help to push him away, she couldn't say no to that, could she? "Well then my sweet, if we must" they both kept walking until the reached the gates and Galinda started to to walk towards the tree Fiyero and her were talking about earlier, with Elphaba following grudgingly.
As they arrived, Galinda couldn't help but grin like an idiot, the tree was really a perfect spot. It was just next to the lake and gave a perfect view of the fields that went on and on after the lake. It was also genius because it wasn't easily spotted from the building and it was unknown to most of the students, so that gave them privacy. Elphaba's exasperated voice pulled her out of her thoughts. "See? He isn't even here yet! I told you we didn't have to rush"Galinda had to repress a laugh. "Oh well I guess we should start without him" she said, trying to sound convincing. she took the basket she had brought and took out a pink tablecloth, then, Elphaba helped her extend it next to the tree. Then they both took out the food they had brought and set it on the tablecloth. they both sat down and ate everything Galinda had brought while they talked about their friends and how their grades were going in school.
When they finished, the sun was already hiding and Galinda understood why Fiyero had told her to go there. The place where they were sitting gave them a perfect view of the sun hiding between the mountains and how the sky acquired a beautiful orange with shades of pink. It was a gorgeous sight, and Galinda couldn't help but notice, very romantic too. "Oh Elphie! Look at the sky! It's beautiful!" She said cheerfully. "Actually, you are right my sweet, it's truly gorgeous" Then she moved from her current spot on the tablecloth and leaned on the big tree. Then Galinda did the same and leaned her head on the brunette's shoulder. Elphaba was suddenly very aware of how close they were and started getting fairly nervous. "Elphie, I have to tell you something" Said the blonde turning her head so that she was facing her green roommate. "What is it my sweet?" Galinda sighed. "You know yesterday, when I told you that I broke up with Fiyero because I was in love with someone else? A girl?" Elphaba felt like if her friend had punched her in the face, she seriously didn't want to talk about this misterious girl Galinda loved. "Of course, but you didn't tell me who it was, you said, that I would never see you the same way again, but you know you can tell me anything" Galinda was really nervous, she kneeled in front of Elphaba and started to lean forward until their faces were very close to one another. "Glin? What are you doing?" Their lips were almost touching now, the blonde could feel Elphaba's breath on her face. "It's you Elphie" Galinda smiled. "Who?" Said Elphaba, confused. "You are the girl I'm in love with" with those words, she pressed her lips against Elphaba's in a passionate kiss.
A/N: So? Did you like it? They finally kissed! I didn't want to put the note on the beginning of the chapter like I usually do because I couldn't give that away, could I? Please, Please, Comment, I want to know what you think. I hope you liked it!
