We walked down the platform in a tight huddle. I felt sick to the core. Severus was throwing me worried looks behind my mothers back, but I ignored them. We reached the wall way too quickly, I stepped through first, doing my best to ignore my brother and Sev.

The train blew its whistle, as a cloud of steam rose around it. People rushing around, loading luggage and saying goodbye. Lucius firmly grapped my shoulder. "Misson is over today, remember?" He said calmly into my ear. "Find Sirius and bring him back, you dont have to be with those idiotic gryffindors anymore." I forced a smile and a nod.

I jumped on board the train after a quick goodbye to mother. Students crammed themselves in the hallways. I passed at least two snogging couples as I tried desperately to find the maurders. Too soon I was standing outside the right compartment. Sirius was slumped inside, he looked ill. Remus had grown another foot. James hotter still. And Peter eating some manner of food.

I took a deep breath opening the door. James jumped up to greet me, a messy kiss was being pressed against my lips before I could stop him. "Anna! I've missed you so damn much. You really do have to come home with me and Sirius next summer. It would be so much fun, how are you? You look so beautiful. I almost forg--"

"James!" I snapped. I couldnt take it. He froze, frowning. "I have to tell you something." I mumbled. Sirius met my eyes, a weak smile flickering onto his face.

"Does this have something to do with why Sirius is so down?" I nodded. Remus glanced between us, connecting dots. "Well?" James said, an innocent look in his eyes.

"You...you know how our family's often marry off their children to strengthen bloodlines?" James's eyes widened as he nodded. "Well, my mother and Sirius's have decided now's the time." James gulped.

"What do you mean?" He said panicking now.

"We're being married off James."

"Too who?" I couldn't form the words.

"Each other." Sirius said from where he was sitting head in hands. James gulped.

"Okay...well that's good right because you can just pretend in front of everyone else and then me and you....Sirius wouldn't mind?" I felt the hot tears sting my eyes.

"James, mate, I'm moving to slytherin." He staggered back against the window, as the train lurched. "The rest of slytherin think we've been collecting information. Now we're gonna be married the missions been compromised. We cant...we cant talk to you, not in public anyway." James ran his hands through his hair.

"Rebel! This is stupid. Sirius you dont do anything your parents tell you too!" I flinched. Sirius groaned.

"Dont raise your tone." He said as he watched me jump. "And your right I could." James went to say something. "But they'd kill Anna." James frowned. "Kill her James, is that what you want?" James gulped.

"I'm sorry Prongs." I said a tear leaking down my face. "I do love you but theres nothing I can do."

"You say that but you never try!" James shouted. "I sacrificed so much for you and you did nothing for me. Ever! And know you ditching me for my best friend. You've probably known all along! Seeing each other behind my back. It all makes sense now. So fuck you!" He screamed.

"What? No James?" I cried. Sirius was growing steadily angrier.

"I was stupid to ever love you Annabelle Malfoy, my life was perfect. And now you've fucking ruined everything and taken my best mate."

"James shut it!" Sirius said standing, he pressed James firmly against the wall. "We play such a dangerous game, you have parents who love you, ours would kill us without a second thought. Annabelle is so brave, she risked her life every fucking day to see you. If they found out she was lying about the mission they'd have killed her." He shook his head teirdly.

"I thought you out of all people would have understood our situation the best. I told you everything about home, so did she. And you've turned on us, just like you expected us to on you." He released James. Remus stood up, he opened his arms to me.

"Look after them two for me." I sobbed. He nodded rubbing my back.

"Dont worry about us, focus on you and Sirius, your gonna need it." I nodded hugging Peter quickly. I froze standing in front of James as Sirius said goodbye to the others.

"Maybe go after Lily, she's much more your taste than I ever was." I said with a weak smile before Sirius took my hand and led me outside. As soon as we were out of earshot i broke down. "I.i cant believe he said all that." I sobbed. Sirius rubbed my back gently.

"I know fucking stings don't it." I managed a weak smile, as my emotions faded back to emptiness. "Ready?" He asked with a forced smile. I nodded and we walked to my brothers compartment.

"Annabelle!" Lucius greeted warmly. "Sirius." Sirius shook his hand, an act coming over him I'd never seen before.

"Its great to meet you under the appropriate circumstances." Lucius nodded, obviously flattered. Cissy jumped up to hug me.

"We're getting married!" She squealed, I smiled back clapping my hands.

"We've got all the planning to do!" I giggled. Bella stood too she gave me a quick awkward hug.

"Its good to have you back Anna." I smiled warmly.

"Its good to be back Bella, honestly I dont know how we lasted this long." Sirius snorted.

"Arrogant Potter." He snarled, sitting down beside me and Bella. The worst part about his tone was I know he wasnt entirely faking his hatred to James. The compartment slid open and Regulas entered sitting beside me.

"Anna! Welcome to the Blacks." I smiled linking my fingers with Sirius's.

"I'm honoured, I'd always hoped it was Sirius, what with us being so close on the mission." Regulas smiled.

"Well, it's all down to your mothers great picking." I nodded brightly. I rested my head on Sirius's shoulder as they started talking about getting the mark soon. He rubbed small circles into my palms.

"We'll be okay." He whispered. "He will be too." I nodded shutting my eyes, because I couldn't stop them from going grey.
