Remus' P.O.V

Alice lay curled up by Sirius. Asleep and for the first time in many years she looked content. "She really never called you dad?" I shook my head, looking fondly at my friend.
"No, always Rem." Sirius face fell a little as he looked upwards. "He'll come round." I said awkwardly.
"Hes right though. I shouldnt have gone after Peter. I'm lucky she's so forgiving." He ran his hand through her hair. A look on his face that I'd never seen before. "I cant believe Annabelle's alive." He muttered for the millionth time that day.

"I couldnt either." I muttered looking at Alice.
"You've gone grey." Sirius stated.
"Raising these two is stressful." I laughed. Sirius grinned.
"Thank you." I met his eyes. "Everytving that's happened with her over the years, you were there. You helped her, and James too. Thank you." I smiled. "We knew we'd picked right all those years ago." Slight heat hit my cheeks but I said nothing.

Alice's P.O.V

"Dad!" I called through his shut door. "Do you want pancakes? Remus Is making the melt in the middle ones?" There was a crash as something fell over. I giggled. Dad opened the door.
"Morning darling!" I grinned.
"Morning."
"Yeah I will thanks." He frowned looking me up and down. "What's the occasion?" I bit my lip. I hadnt exactly told Dad about George. Remus knew of course, but the opportunity in the last two weeks hadnt cropped up.
"Umm, the Weasleys are coming home today. The twins are coming here first then we're all meeting Harry at diagon alley." I saw his face flicker a little at his God sons name.
"Okay? But that doesnt explain why you look, beautiful, but a little dressed up." I ran my hand along the soft material. The dress was white with small swallows on. I just shrugged, and dodged away. The grin unobtainable on my face.
I skipped into James' room. "You excited to see the twins!" I said clapping my hands. He grinned at me.

It had taken a while but James was now talking to Dad and had apologised to me. But while me and James were back to normal, he refused to call Dad, dad. And called his Sirius. Dad hadnt said anything but I knew it hurt him, to have no parental influence in his sons life and had become more of a friend. It made Remus uncomfortable too, the sad look in dads eyes and my wince every time James called Remus dad. Or dad Sirius.
"Yep! Bet you cant wait to see George." He teased pulling my hair. I whacked his arm.
"Shove off, your just as excited to see Fred. When are you going to tell him!" I pleaded, taking his hands. He laughed.
"Never." I rolled my eyes.
"But you know he likes you back. Me and George have both told you so." He shook his head.
"I just cant." He said firmly, but there was still a playful edge to his voice. I sighed but left or there. We skipped downstairs together. Remus was cooking still. Dad staring at him intently. I frowned, but shook whatever thoughts came to my head away.
Remus glanced at me and laughed. "Dressed up much?" I stuck my tounge out.
"Why do I feel everyone here knows something I dont." Dad said already spooning forkfulls of pancake into his mouth.
"You havent told him?" James asked with a frown.
"It erm...never came up."
"Told me what Dahlia." I heard the doorbell go.
"I'll go." I said jumping up. Dad protested but I was off already. Remus only laughed. I flung open the door, for a second I didnt know which red head had tackled me backwards into the wall. "Shush fred, you'll wake banshee." I giggled squeezing him back.
"We missed you." He said quietly pulling back. He glanced out the door. "Your boyfriends waiting for you." He turned to see James come out the kitchen and disapeared towards him.

I stepped back into the doorway. George was standing his back to me. "Am I that terrible to look at?" I teased. He spun round, flowers in his hands.
"Not at all love, your the only thing I enjoy looking at." I grinned taking the flowers and sniffing them gently.
"Thank you." I said as he pulled something else out of his pocket.
"Got you a little something." He said unfolding the paper. I frowned peering inside his cupped hands. My face instantly lit up. It was four rings, the two golden ones were connected by a chain made from hearts. The word Dalhi was on one, George on the other. Then leading from my ring to one of the silver ones was a chain made from infinity symbols. It had James written on the ring. And from George's one was the same but with Fred's name.
"I love them." I breathed.
"And I love you." He said closing the gap between us. His lips were soft, I missed them. A cough came from behind us.
"Crap. You know how I said dad was out of Azkaban." George nodded.
"I'm looking forward to meeting him."
"Yeah well honey, I never told him about us." Georg glared at me, before he closed his eyes for a second. When they opened, he gently moved me to one side, facing Dad.

He offered his hand. "Its a pleasure to meet you Mr Black. I'm sorry Alice didnt inform you of relationship." Dad reluctantly shook his hand.
"Shes my baby girl you understand that?" He threatened.
"Completely, but do know that i love her dearly and would never do anything to put her in charms way." George said. I giggled, it was so unlike him. Remus rolled his eyes.
"Lay off Siri, hes a good kid. And he's been hopelessly in love with her since they were eleven. He cant function if shes not with him." Remus hugged George. I grinned. Looping my hand with George's.
"So dad? What do you think?" I asked. Dad thought. Then smiled.
"If I'm gonna let anyone near my daughter it would be a Weasley, your parents were good people, and Remus has assured me you are too. Just please god dont make me grandfather just yet." We both flushed red.
"Dad we're fifteen!" I squealed.
"Yeah well your mother was fourteen when she was with James...so.."
"Ew dad." He grinned.
"Dont blame her Sirius. I tend to remember the week before very well." Dad hit him hard. I frowned, before pulling George away in search of our dear brothers. George kissed my cheek.
"I missed you."
"I missed you more."

"Hey Harry!" I called as he ran down the stairs at sound of Hermione and Ron's bickering. He hugged me tightly.
"God am I pleased to see you." He said quietly.
"Oh Harry I cant believe you got away with that spell on your aunt. The minster could have done so much worse! You could have been expelled?" Hermoine blurted.
"Wait what?" I asked harshly. Harry winced.
"I didnt want to worry you any more. What with your Sirius being in the loose." I gulped.
Everyone looked at me sadly, I rolled my eyes. "What happened?"
"My aunt said some stuff about my parents, my uncles sister. And I...well she inflated like a balloon and flew away." I had to hide my smirk. "The minister was here when I got here. He let me off luckily. I think he was just pleased I didnt get murdered by Sirius Black." I winced again. I smiled and turned away.

"Hey molly, how was Egypt?" She launched into a conversation about the pyramids.
"Do you think she remembers him? Black I mean. Him and Remus were friends." Ron whispered, I heard but kept the smile on my face. It was hard lying to everyone. Only Draco and the twins knew who I really was.
The more people that knew the more danger they'd be in.
"She must do if she remembers me, that picture she gave me, he's in it." Hermoine made a noise of sympathy.
"She must feel so guilty." My hands tightened to fists.
"Allie!" James' hug snapped me from the trio's conversation.
"Hey." I said happily, leaning back into him.
"Sirius asked me to give you this as me and Dad left." I took the parcel from his hand.
The photo made me smile. It was me and James lying inbetween mom and dad. They were holding hands over us. Dad was pressing a messy kiss to my cheek. I was laughing. Mom was rubbing her nose against James'.
I hid it quickly in my bag wiping the tear away as it fell.
I'd find mom, if find her using this new plan Dumbledore had made and then we'd be a family again. Or near enough.
