River's P.O.V.

I sat on the roof of my house gazing at the stars. My black hair blowing gently in the breeze.  My name is River Stone, a bad excuse of a vampire.  I'm what most people believe is a typical vampire.  I wear all black, except for my gray Vans.  The only difference is I don't have hair like that sparkly douche from that movie, my hair goes to the nape of my neck and is soft as feathers.  I also have snake bites and a tattoo on my back which I'm not showing to anybody.

My father and I just moved to this house a few days back, there is barely any house on this one road.  The only good thing about my dad moving us here is that the backyard is all woods, nothing like the city.  I never got my peace and quiet in the city. I also got tired of eating birds and squirrels over and over again.

"Hey you!" I looked down at the the sidewalk in front of the house to see a girl with short white hair, the light from the moon made it look like her hair was glowing.  She had wearing a batman hoodie and black skinny jeans, she also had snake bites and had a panda backpack on.  "Are you new to this street?" I nodded, she was kinda cute.  "Awesome, what ya doing tomorrow?" Her bright blue eyes sparkled in hope.

"Nothing why?" She jumped up and down.

"Do you wanna hang out with some of my friends and myself?  Promise we don't bite, well I don't know about my cousin she is weird enough to bite." I chuckled, the girl babbled on and on about her friends.

"I'll think about it, I'm kinda a anti social freak." I shouted down to the girl.

"Don't worry bout that so am I well was." She giggled, how does this one girl lighten up the mood by laughing.  "I'll come by tomorrow around noon or whenever I decide to wake up." I laughed, she is a strange one I haven't laughed since my mom died.

"How come you're alone this late at night?" I asked.

"I just got off work and I told my boyfriend to stay home and make sure a guy friend of ours didn't destroy our house again." She giggled, damn she had a boyfriend.

"Your life sounds fun?" I said smiling.

"More like complicated." She said while rubbing her neck. "Maybe we can properly introduce ourselves tomorrow at the mall.  I heard they opened a Hot Topic and everything is on sell since its a few days before Christmas."  The girl grabbed her panda bag off her back and dug around in it.  She pulled out her cellphone and unlocked it.  "Can you catch?" Was she going to throw her phone at me?

"Yea?" I asked, she tossed her phone at me and I caught it.

"Put your number in so I can call or text you." I did as she said then tossed it back down.  She looked at her phone and smiled.  "River Stone, I love it. I love not normal names." She squealed.

"Not normal name? Do you know people with not normal names?" I asked,

"Yea, my cousins and boyfriend and now you." The girl looked at her phone again then gasped. "I better get home before my boyfriend goes crazy with worry. Bye River, I'll text you when I get up tomorrow." The girl waved goodbye while jogging away.

"Wait I never got your name." I yelled,

"Snow, my name is Snow."
