~Jungkook~
The days were going so slow ever since Jungkook left Jiwoo at the hospital. He's been keeping his distance from Jiwoo in order to concentrate on their concerts but that doesn't mean he doesn't think of her every minute of the day.
His parents weren't too happy when they heard from Jiwoo that Jungkook haven't been in contact. He knew he should have rung her a few times but he couldn't find the strength to do so. Jungkook was still mad about her keeping her illness a secret from him. Just like back then. When the pair met.
She did it twice now.
The first time she kept it from him, he understood why. They were "strangers" after all. The second time? They were engaged and although she can use his memories to defend herself, Jungkook knows that deep down, Jiwoo knew it was wrong.
He hasn't forgiven his members yet too. It's the same with Jiwoo.
It was painful every day for him to pretend not to remember anything. It was even more painful when he saw that Jiwoo's past was still haunting her and yet she never came to him for comfort. It made him question whether he's enough for Jiwoo. He felt weak and useless because of it too. He doesn't want to feel that way.
Either way, they wrapped up everything now and was heading home. His heart thumped at the thought of seeing Jiwoo. It's crazy. After all these months, she can still make him nervous. She's the only one who can make him feel like this.
Jungkook lifted his head up and saw Jiwoo standing in the driveway, waiting for them. His parents left early in the morning and although they feel bad for not being able to see Jungkook, Jungkook reassured them that he and Jiwoo will pay a visit when Jiwoo's better.
The minute the van came to a stop, Jungkook opened the door and ran towards his fiancée.
~Jiwoo~
Seeing Jungkook rushed out like this made me feel all warm. Jungkook didn't even slow down as he neared me and just as I took a step back, Jungkook wrapped his strong arms around me, lifting me off my feet.
"I—can't breathe," I wheezed, hitting him lightly to let me down.
"Good," he muttered. "Suffer."
I kept hitting him anyways.
Finally, after a few minutes, Jungkook finally lets go of me, moving his hands towards my shoulders before squeezing them.
His eyes were filled with concern. "I didn't hurt you, did I?"
I snorted. "Is that a trick question?"
His eyes narrowed.
I shook my head, "No. I'm good."
Jungkook let out a soft sigh of relief before placing his hands on my hips, pulling me against him.
For a few seconds, we just stare at one another with thoughts running through our minds. We weren't even aware that the members were still sitting in the vans, watching us from afar.
"Are you still mad at me?" I mustered up the courage and asked.
"What do you think?" he muttered.
I pressed my hands against his chest, tilting my head back so that I could see his eyes.
"I'm sorry," I said, quietly. And I meant it.
Jungkook sighed softly before dropping a kiss to the top of my head. "We'll talk later."
Yay. Fun.
He glanced over his shoulders and that's when the members started walking towards us.
I smiled and waved. That was enough for them to come charging at me and pulling me in for a group hug. I heard them scolding me all at the same time and couldn't help but laugh through the tears streaming down my face.
All through this, Jungkook watched with a smile on his face.
