Next stop- School

Somehow I convinced my grandparents to let Albert stay.
The most surprising thing was how did he became visible to others.
We headed to school together.
I was cooking up another story to tell my teacher and so that he can join our classes too.

We reached school early.
Sydney was nowhere to be found.
I texted her already I'll be bringing my distant cousin to school.
There weren't many people around.
But yes I could see some girls staring at Albert.
Is he really hot?
I never thought about him like that.
Well that's not the point now.
I was nervous and I was sweating profusely.
Albert looked at me with worried eyes.
I knew what he was thinking.
I said "I'm fine, I'm just a little tired after the walk let's grab something to drink"
I forced a smile.

He didn't answered and smiled back.
We walked to the vending machine and bought two cans of lime soda.
What? I know you must be thinking why lime soda?
Well it's healthy in a way and less harmful.

We drank it in silence.
To break the long silence I said "I'll make some excuses regarding your transfer so just keep nodding your head and don't talk much to teacher or with anyone at all"
"Ok ma'am as you wish"
He rolled his eyes.
I knew he was getting bored because there wasn't anything much to do.
And.....
"You're bored right? wanna see something?"
He raised his brows "What?"
"Then follow me quietly"
he nodded.
"I'll take that as a yes".

We walked towards the biology laboratory and as I was about to push open the door I turned towards him and said "You wait over here"
"Why?"
"I just wanna make sure there's no one inside"
"fine"
I walked inside and then I took out the skeleton that we used to study bones of humans.
After few minutes I screamed loudly and as expected Albert came running inside the room.
I threw the skeleton at him and said "Oh my God look! A living skeleton!"

He was so shocked at first that he almost fell down.

His reaction was expected because he'd never seen a skeleton from this close.

I mean even I was scared when I first saw it.
Finally when he got back in his senses he gave me a don't-mess-with-me look.
"It's not funny"
I laughed "Yes it is I mean c'mon the way you fell down"
He started laughing as well and stood up.
He walked towards me and held my chin and pulled me a little closer and said "You're more scary than it"

What the hell was that?
I mean it was such a romantic scene right?
but instead it ended up in such a terrible way!
God why do boys have problem with me.
I stamped on his feet.
"Ouch that hurts!"
"You deserve it"
Then with a quick turn I headed out of the classroom.
"If you don't wanna be left behind then catch up to me silly"
I smiled to myself and thought 'Seriously this idiot will never change'.

It was almost time for classes and the corridor was filled with people.

I went upto my locker and took out books and others stuffs.
Albert was standing beside me.
I could sense other girls staring at me and wanting an answer about who the guy next to me really is.

I said "We have english classes now and the class teacher is going to teach us.
I'll submit him a fake application about your transfer by parents so don't even think about backing out now because it's now or never understood?"
I gave him a threatening look.
"Yes I won't let you down"
He bowed his head like he was my servant.
haha ok was that really even funny?
sometimes I think that I overthink too much.

We walked together to the classroom and entered.....

Luke was absent today.
That's weird.
He never missed classes or anything.
But then the flashbacks hit me and I thought it's for the best that I never see his face again.
Teacher reviewed the application letter and asked me to come to his office along with Albert after class.
I could feel many girls glaring at me for having Albert next to me.
He looked at me and asked "You look a little uncomfortable. Is there anything wrong?"
I forced a smile and said "What are you? my mom? stop worrying so much about me"
Then he keeps asking me from time to time what the lesson is all about and what all he has to do to keep up with the class.
The bell rang and I told him what the teacher said.
He nodded and we started walking towards the office.
A girl appeared out of nowhere and said "Hey Evelyn right?"
"yes what do you want" I asked her in a not-so-interested voice
Oh wait I remember her now!
She's the captain of cheerleading team of the school!
She's among the top 5 beauties of the school and what does she need from me?
"No I heard a new guy joined our school so I thought I'd give him a tour around the school"
"Aren't you busy?"
"No I thought I should interact with new people sometimes it will build my communication skills"
"Aahhh... right" I rolled my eyes.
Albert took out his hand to shake and said "I'm Albert nice to meet you and you are ?"
She smiled mischievously and shook his hand.
"I'm Natalie I'm the captain of cheerleading team you should come see us practice sometime"
"I will"
"So you both are siblings"
He said "no" I said "yes"
We looked at each other and I pinched him.
"Bro you're such an ass you keep teasing everyone.... actually we're cousins"
She laughs "Awww you both really do look cute Evelyn I'd love to have you in my team why don't you join us?"
"Can I reply to you later I need to talk to the teacher"
"Yes why not... How about I share you my number" She takes out a piece of paper writes her number and instead of handing it to me she hands it over to Albert.
Girls Girls Girls! They never change.
After she leaves we start heading to the office.
I knock the door and wait for teacher to come out.
He came out with a booklet and said "Albert needs to fill the necessary details so please help him out and also I'd need his report card of previous school to check whether the majors he will choose is within his capability or not"
Just as I was going to say I'll get these done.
Albert blurted "Sir I'm really good in maths and science you can test me"
"Oh really?"
He looks at Albert with a raised brow.
"Okay if you can score atleast 75 in my question paper then you will be allowed to take any major you want"
"That sounds easy"
Teacher laughs "You're really funny. I will take the test tomorrow so don't waste time and start preparing"
"I don't need to..." I elbow him he ended up saying "I don't need to elbow you"
"Excuse me?"
"No sir I mean I'll go now and start revision"
"That sounds better"
After the teacher gets back to his office I look at him with furious eyes.
"I think I told you not to utter a word.
If you do this next time I will not let you come to school again"
He makes puppy eyes holds his ears and says "I'm really sorry my Eva my sweet cute little choco pie"
"Stop flattering me and let's get done with these forms first"
We go to the library because it's quiet there and no one really comes much around.
