We returned home late and grandma was worried about us. She kept on scolding me.

I went to my room and laid down on my bed.
Albert looked at me and asked "Now tell me what happened?"
"Nothing"
"You can't hide anything from me"
"Just leave me alone for sometime"

The horror of being forced by Luke hit me hard and I felt numb all over.
I stood up somehow and went to bathroom.
I took a shower and kept scrubbing soap all over my skin.
I felt like I've been marked by a devil or cursed.
I felt impure and tears fell down.
As soon as the tears fell on the ground the water started glowing and I could see memories of my childhood in the reflection.

They were the best moments of my life.
Playing with Albert and my grandparents.

The knocking sound from the door pulled me back to reality.
I didn't understand whether I was dreaming or not.

"Eva! are you ok? I'm feeling uneasy I want to see you"
"one minute"
I dried myself up quickly and wore my bathrobe and stepped outside.
I laid down on bed and Albert starts to pat my head.
"I'm always with you, if you want to tell me something then don't hesitate no matter what you say I will stay by your side forever"
I thought to myself 'I wish I could but I'm not ready yet to tell him such things and I don't wanna break his trust either '

"I will tell you soon but for now let me get some sleep"

I closed my eyes and soon fell in deep slumber.

I woke up when the rays of the sun filled my room.
I stretched my arms and looked at Albert.
He was still asleep.
I heard a knock then grandma called my name.
Then she entered with a glass of milk. As she turned and looked at me.
She screamed

"Ae bhagwan who's this???"

The glass fell from her hands and she pulled me out of the bed.

I gave her a puzzled look.
"What are you talking about?"

Albert woke up from the noise and didn't move, maybe he too was confused about the whole scenario.

" Don't tell me that this guy spent the whole night with you"
"You can see him?"
I didn't know whether I was supposed to be happy about it or feel scared of grandma.

"Ofcourse I can see him.
you both must give an explanation or I'll have to speak with his parents and Eva will be grounded"

"Yes I'll explain everything to you...."
I was telling myself to come up with some excuses.
I looked at a book named Sherlock Holmes and had an idea.

"Actually he didn't had any place to stay last night....and....his father beats him up regularly so....I just helped him out"
I tried to sound as genuine as possible.

Maybe the excuse worked and my grandma's facial expression changed.
She looked at him with sympathy and said "Poor thing, but you should've atleast told me. We have guestrooms too."
She faced him and said "You can come and stay here whenever you feel like but no mischievous things inside this house"

she smiled at us and left.

We both started laughing and I took a sigh of relief.

What a day!?
