"The sun has risen, we have one day to successfully complete this very important mission. We do this, or we lose everything we've worked for."

"Time for a wardrobe change!" Dorothea cheered, pumping her fist in the air as I blinked tiredly. Why did she have to make it sound like we were on deaths door step?
"We hardly have any money, though." Philip began, holding out his hands to exaggerate, "We didn't even have enough for a hotel room."
"Actually, we have plenty." I countered, reaching into my bag and pulling out a large pouch, "My mother put three thousand euros in my bag last night.
"THREE TH-"
"Quiet, Philip!" I quickly hissed.
"Sorry."
"We need to hurry." Dorothea continued, "The more time we have the better. Lets split up and meet back here in an hour tops. We'll get changed and burn our old clothes tonight."
We all saluted together, before I split the money half and half with Dorothea and headed with Philip into the village. Dorothea seemed more than happy to drag Fallon off to a nice clothing store, and Philip had to hold in his laughs as the large man whined that these were his clothes from Ireland, and he didn't want to burn them.
"Okay, I'm sure you'd know your way around more than me." I began, Philip finally stopping his laughter, "So, lead the way!"
He grinned, "Finally, we get to go on a date!"

Philip took me to the best places around, and we made the most of our time by picking out each others outfits and having a mini fashion show. I was nervous at first, especially when I saw he put in a dress. I mean, honestly, I couldn't fight in it and he knew it - he was just trying to see me dressed up!
But I shook it off and decided to entertain the idea, revealing myself in the dress and smirking as Philip's face lit up red, and then he quickly told me to change into the next thing. I tried on a few odd styles, and glared holes into the male as he laughed, planning all of the ways I would get back at him, before he finally gave me something he knew I'd like.
With a beautiful new jacket and tight fit dress pants, finished off with a satin blouse with small floral patterns around the collar, Philip clapped away and we switched places. I messed around with him only once, because he was far more embarrassed than I was and couldn't hide it at all. I gave him a suit and when he stepped out I didn't hesitate to tell him to get it.
"Are you kidding? It's so expensive! Besides, I'd get so disappointed if it got ruined."
I frowned, because damn, he looked fucking amazing. But I decided to go for something a little less fancy, but still classy. I smiled as he stepped out in dress pants and a white button down, a new long coat to accompany it.
"It's simple, but it really suits you." I smiled, "This is it. Let's go."
"You think? What about my suspenders-"
"Philip." I called out, making him look at me, "You don't need those anymore. You're seventeen, not five."
"Hey!"

After paying for our clothes and leaving the store, I decided to take the lead and try and find a fancy café we could sit at for a while. I dragged him around the city, his hand held tight in mine as we giggled together and talked about foolish things, like where we would be if we weren't jaegers.
Unfortunately, though, Philip's eyes caught onto a firearms shop and suddenly his strength was tenfold what it usually was. He entered the store with a grin and eyed the materials around him.
"How much do we have left?"
I sighed, telling him, and he quickly grabbed two bullet proof vests that could be easily worn under his shirt. My eyes followed him as he stepped up to the counter carefully, trying to hold in his excitement at all the, expensive, materials on display.
"Philip, dear, we already have guns."
"We also have a little extra cash?" He replied quickly, smiling as he looked at me.
I went to retort, but my words caught in my throat as he gave me a certain look. This little brat, he knew if I said no then it would be final and he would listen with only a few complaints, but at the same time, if he really wanted something then he'd pull this stunt. I'd have to be seriously against something to be able to fight against his eyes glowing like this.
"Fine. I'll buy those knives too then." I caved quickly and he cheered, telling the man behind the counter what he wanted.
"Are you kids old enough to be here?" He asked, scratching his beard.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. Says the man who'd cry if he ever saw a vampire.
"And I don't think a lady should be-"
"Hey." Philip growled, slamming his hand on the table, "I'm paying you, so you're gonna sell me your shit. It don't matter how old I am. And who do you think you are, talking to her like that?"
He caved immediately, "Alright then."

We burst out laughing as we left the store, myself falling slightly onto Philip's shoulder in my fit as he imitated the sellers scared face. We mocked him as we walked, it was mid afternoon, and we decided to head back early so we didn't have to lug our bags around anymore.
After all this time, we hadn't ever had the chance to do something like this before, and I would cherish this day forever.
Hopefully in the future, we can have a lot more days like these.

"You two..." Someone called from behind, and my guard shot up as a cold hand gripped my arm.
Philip's aura changed immediately and he scowled as he turned to look at whoever would dare touch me like this,
"What the fu-"
"You smell... good..."
"Philip." I gasped, swallowing hard. This whole area was full of civilians, but the urge a vampire got from the scent of this ash stained to our old clothes, made them do things they couldn't control.
"I know. Pull him into the light."
"But everyone here-"
"Do it. If we go into the dark and shoot him, people will come looking from the noise. Pull him out and run."
I held my breath and pulled with all my might, dragging the disguised vampire out into the sun. He let go of my arm almost the second the light rays touched him, screeching and stumbling back into the dark, steam floating up from his hand when I took one last glance before Philip and I kicked off the ground.
"We gotta find Dorothea and Fallon!" I quickly said, looking back to make sure it wasn't following us.
"Yeah, and get the hell out of here!"

I guess, it was fun while it lasted!
