"Aren't they beautiful?" Sarang asked while watching the newly married couple dance in the middle of the dancefloor, "It reminds me of my own wedding."

"Really? You and Dad had good days too?" Jimin asked sarcastically, making his mother roll her eyes at him.

"Believe it or not, but there was a time your father and I were deeply in love," she sighed and it almost sounded pitiful.

"Well, I hope so.. Minyoung looks really pretty, tonight."

"Of course she does, after all it was me who designed that dress," Sarang snickered and took a sip of her cocktail, "It's perfect for a wedding at the beach: simple and comfortable, but still incredibly stylish."

"Why didn't you-"

Suddenly Jimin's phone rang and he was surprised to see that it was Namjoon calling him. He quickly excused himself from the table and went to a much quieter place, only hearing the music faintly.

"Hyung? This may be the first time that you're calling me," Jimin answered and smiled as he heard the other laugh lazily.

"I know it's late, but Taehyung probably forgot telling you that you're invited to Jeon Young Ae's birthday party on Wednesday."

"Jeon? Wait, are we talking about Jungkook's mother?" Jimin asked, obviously shocked about the news.

"Yeah, she seems to be a big fan of you. The celebration's going to be huge, so you probably wouldn't want to miss that."

"Really? I wonder if Jungkook suggested inviting me..Thanks for telling me though, I'll think about it."

"No problem, kid. Good luck on your show tomorrow! You've never walked for Charm's before, right?"

"Nope, it's my first time. But I'm looking forward to it. My Mom's going to be there, too."

"Sound great. Get enough rest, then. I'll talk to you later."

"Okay! Good night, hyung."

Jimin hung up and bit his lip. Meeting Jungkook's family? Why would Young Ae be interested in him?

Whatever, it'll be fun!

Jimin decided to stop thinking about it and went back to his table. There was another song playing now and nearly everyone was dancing, drinking and enjoying themselves.

"There you are! What happened?" Sarang asked him as soon as he approached her.

"Mom, I just got invited to Jeon Young Ae's birthday party."

"Really? That's nice! Aren't you friends with her son?"

"Huh? Jungkook.. y-yeah, I guess so."

"Come on, let's dance now. We can continue this talk after the wedding of my best friend is over!" She smiled and pulled him by his arm onto the dancefloor.

A few days later

"Are you sure she's going to like our present? I mean, what do you buy a person who already has everything?" Seohyun asked nervously and waited until Jungkook also got out of the car, finally arriving at his parents' mansion.

"Babe, relax. She never stops talking about needing new jewellery," Jungkook chuckled and straightened his long, grey coat.

"I know, but still.. it's hard to please her."

"Trust me, I'd know. After all, I was raised by that woman. Come on, let's get inside and meet everyone. We're probably the last guests arriving," he said and offered his hand, which she gladly took before letting him lead her inside the villa. Seohyun never really liked attending these crowded and fancy events, especially because she was a socially awkward person who always worried about other people's opinions. However, it was her mother-in-law's birthday, and not celebrating Young Ae's new age would've given the public a new reason to run their mouths.
