You know that feeling you get when you're waiting to hear back from someone? Well that's the feeling I had to deal with for one week. The amount of stress I had recently has been rising thanks to the fact that I couldn't find a job. Luckily for me I got the chance to hear some good new. Very good news. I got my first job, which is something I waited my whole life for. The minute I got a call from Lincoln, the manager at the coffee shop, I knew exactly what he was going to say. He told me that I would have to work in the mornings throughout the whole week. Working that much is going to be a pain in the ass but seeing my mom being so proud of me was all worth it. Before I left for my first day of work my mom wanted to talk to me so I went to her room and waited for her to speak.

"I bet you're wondering why I wanted to talk to you." My mother says with a smile on her face, which is something I haven't seen in a while.

"I believe it has something to do with me getting a job." I guessed.

"Sort of," my mom says as she continues to smile, "I went job hunting yesterday and apparently I have an interview next week!"

"You have a what?" I say, still can't believe the words that came out of her mouth.

My mom has been searching for a job since the moment she got fired from her old one. I never expected her to find one this fast but she proved me wrong. Tears were starting to fall down her cheeks but they weren't sad one, they were happy ones. My eyes became watery but I quickly held back my tears. I gave her a tight hug before saying anything else.

"I'm so happy for you." I say as I pull away from the hug.

"Thanks, Clarke," she says as she used her shirt to wipe her tears away, "you should probably go now. I don't want you late for your first day at work!"

"Okay." I gave her one more smile before grabbing my umbrella and walking outside.

It was pouring outside and since I don't have a car I have to walk all the way to work. It was times like these that I wished I was able to afford a cheap car just so I don't have to walk in the rain or snow. The weather in the city has been changing a lot lately. Sometimes it was hot, other days it was freezing cold, and today it's raining like crazy.

The shop was right down the street so I decided to sprint towards it. The umbrella was useless because when I entered the store I was still soaking wet. I was wearing my work uniform, which was a blue T-shirt with a coffee symbol at the side and black skinny jeans.

The first person to come up to me was my manager, Lincoln. He said hello to me and explained what I was going to do today. Since I had no experience he told me that I was just going to watch the assistant manager, Marcus Kane, make the coffee while I just hand it to the customers. Seems pretty easy but as more people started coming it started to become confusing. I was reading the names that were on the coffee cup but no one would respond until minutes later. This isn't exactly how I imagined my first day of work to be like but I guess it's better than doing nothing. The next name I had to read made my jaw drop. I was so shocked that I forgot how to even talk.

"Bellamy?" I called out loud. He quickly came up to the counter and was just as surprised as me when he realized who I was.

His hair was still messy and he looked more tired than usual. There were black circles underneath his eyes and I was so sure that he was going to collapse soon because he was starting to lose balance. I wanted to ask him why he was so tired but I decided to just keep my mouth shut. For a moment we just awkwardly stared at each other and waited for one of us to speak. Instead I grabbed a marker and added an extra L to his name because Marcus Kane spelled it wrong.

"What are you doing?" He asked me.

"They spelled your name wrong." I told him.

"Oh...okay...thanks." Bellamy said with a yawn.
