Shade's POV

I'm such a loser.

A big fat loser.

A loser who had felt weird in the presence of her. But it was a good weird, a happy weird.

How did she make me feel this way? It's a scary thought, me being 'in love' and all, I had a few kisses and dates here and there with the ladies of the Stilts but I've never felt this way before. Not the way she makes me feel.Heels over shoulders was it? I think that's me, I think I'm heels over shoulders for her.

Her spirit makes me feel alive, along with her admirable smarts and planning. And her smile lit up my world I swear, sure I've only known her for what? Four months, every since school started but who cares. Being her lab partner in class was all I needed to understand her honestly. She had such a sharp mouth and comebacks were always on the tip of her tongue, and she's tall and she has dazzlingly blonde hair growing in, and these beautiful ocean-like eyes. And her strong warrior-like aura, though the war was over 5000 years ago. Apparently she prefered being called Farley as opposed to Diana.

I'm not a stalker right?

I looked up at my ceiling, closing my eyes and listening to mom and dad talk in the kitchen, Bree and Tramy laughing in the room across, Gisa and Mare talking about who knows what. Probably about the party Mare and I are going to tonight. It's a New Years Eve Party, and for some reason our parents let us go. I would have to watch over Mare of course, but it's all in the job description of being a big brother.

I wonder if she's gonna be there...

OH MY GOD I'M SO OBSESSED. But I have the right to be, especially since she's so stunning.

I fixed myself up in a dark red tuxedo with a white shirt underneath along with a black tie. I fixed my hair so that it was in a side part but still ruffled up so it looked fluffy. I looked nice, I looked classy, I..needed pants. I grabbed my black long pants and decided to trade in my black tie with my black bow tie, and not because I was too lazy to tie the tie.

Using my stealth I snuck downstairs to surprise my favorite sibling.

I ended up with an elbow to the stomach but that was totally worth it. The look on her face was priceless! I wish I had recorded it. She glared at me like she wanted to murder me right then and there. "Is something wrong little rabbit?" I say with innocence, "You look like you've seen a ghost." Then she lunges towards me but I side step in time. I shake my head "Nuh-uh Mare I'M already prepared and not willing to ruin this outfit, can't say the same about you though.." She rolls her eyes and says "Whatever Shade. Who are you dressed so nicely for anyways hmm? Got a secret girlfriend," she dragged out the word girlfriend while wiggling her eyebrows. I laugh trying to keep my blush at bay, which didn't work by the knowing look in her eyes. "Not yet.. And what about you? No boyfriend?" I looked at her and she seemed unphased. "Kilorn's going as my best friend, no boy in their right mind would fall for a mess like me," she snorts.
