Nothing could have prepared us for any of this. The lies our parents told, the secrets they kept from us, the satanic fertility doctor, and who knows what else is lurking in the shadows. Our family secrets can't be that bad or maybe they can. Maybe, just maybe, our parents our parents are some sort of super villains.

We all stood surrounding the kitchen island dumbfounded with no words. It took a while for anyone to say something.

"So, what the hell are we going to do?" asked Holly.

"Well I'm going to go exploring this small town! Might as well get to know our new home since it looks like we're going to be here for a while," Ivy said as she began to walk away towards the stairs.

"Ivy this is serious! We have no idea where we are or what's going on! There are skeleton's in our closet that we have to figure out and you want to go out?"

"Freya what do you think I'm doing? Staying cooped up in this house isn't going to solve anything! We were in a high-speed chase yesterday and was chased by 4 people with what looked like straight jackets I'm not going to hide in this beautiful luxurious home!" Ivy turned her back taking 3 steps.

"HEY, WAIT UP!" called out Dakota as he ran after her.

"If you're going to try to stop me you might as well ground yourself because I'm leaving!"

"Nahh I was just wondering if I could come with. You know maybe we can find something together and two heads are better than one!"

Hmmmm...Dragon Tales quote. Nice move! DD

Ivy stared him up and down hoping he'd some how change his mind. He kept her gaze and didn't blink a second.

"Fine you can come but no funny business and meet me by the front door in 10 minutes or I leave you!"

Back in the kitchen the others stay standing around the perimeter of the island. The box of mementos stood in the center taunting them. "Is anyone going to actually go through this stuff?"

No one budged. "I'm going to my new room. I really need a moment to think," Rory walked away rubbing his eyes and chin.

"I...I guess that leaves us Holly..."

Birds chirped as they returned from the south. The streets in this small town weren't as busy as they were in New York. Maybe it's because we're in a small town. As we walked past the homes, the homes were uniquely different. Not unique as in they looked fancy or anything like back home, but they all had their own personality. This home has made of old school stone and had forest green shutters. A two-car garage was plastered on the side as well as a long driveway that lead to the main street. The house across the way had a cabin-like feel to it. It even had an burnt orange door! Again, nothing like Blossom Bay.

"It's crazy how friendly these people are around here. The people back home aren't no where near friendly as they are here. Everyone back home was so much in a rush and has their heads so far up their asses that they didn't care how they treated anyone. People here always have a smile plastered on their faces waving as you pass by.

"Do you think we'll be here long?"

"Honestly Dakota I don't know. I just know we're not leaving any time soon."

"It'll give us all time to actually get to know each other. We didn't get to do that back home when we were in school."

"I don't think any of us desired to if we're going to be honest. Here, we don't have much of a choice."
