Death Trap

" Right Lev I will see you later, control wants me on standby in the centre."

Ruby hopped aboard her yellow motorbike, popped her white helmet over her head' flattening her fringe so that her fringe could now be seen flat on her head.

"Yep see you in a bit Ruby" as Lev waves briefly before making his way to his ambulance.

Ruby closed down the face shield on her helmet, revved her engine and drove off into the close distance. She made his way to the city centre and it was about a 10 minute drive to the city centre without blues and sirens in action. 20 on a normal drive.

Ruby arrived at the city centre and pulled up on the perch just outside the double automatic doors that was leading into the town centre as she put the foot stand down on the paved ground and turned off the engine, she removed her biker gloves.

Ruby said" 3006 to control, I am now on stand by outside the city centre. Ready to be respond on the motorbike. Over." She spoke through her built in mic on his helmet.

"Copy that, we will probably be needing you shortly. Reports of a crash on the motorway. Just need to get more details before we used all available paramedics."

Ruby said" Copy that, over."

It was a matter of time that Ruby was waiting on standby before a call came available for her to attend to.

Ruby said" Yep, copy that."

Ruby's adrenaline rush. She had a beautiful man to marry next week and she had a job in which she was fulled with adrenaline every hour, a job that didn't need a cape to show she was a hero.

Nothing could break her sparkle as the tyres screeched, rubber shredding, a lorry tumbled out of control down the hill. Ruby pressed her brakes for dear life as she spotted the lorry coming towards her. It was too late.

Metal hitting metal boomed through the road. Brake lights lit up as the road is filled with more and more cars just about avoided the carnage. The sirens of the bike still echoed off into the distance.

Ruby layers motionless. Her helmet scratched against the tarmac, the green"paramedic" working now hardly visible.

It was a deathly scene as Ruby lay trapped under her bike wheel.
