Ambulances, police cars, fire engines arrived. Their sirens echoed.

Lev bolted to the bike wreck whilst other paramedics studied the scene before rushing to the aid of others.

"Ruby, Ruby."

No Response.

"Control we are going to need a Doctor on scene at this lorry verse bike. Paramedic Ruby Sparks is unconscious, her legs trapped by her Motorbike, over" as Lev stayed by his friends side.

Back at the ED the red phone rang.

Dylan answered.

Some staff gathered around. After a few moments he replaced the phone to the wall.

" Everyone get back to work we just need a Doctor at the scene of an accident"

Dylan ordered, his authority so strong that every one immediately went back to the job at hand.

He approached Lily.

"Lily, they need a Doctor on scene of a lorry verse motorbike road traffic collision."

He looked around briefly checking for Iain's presence and then spoke a little quieter.

" Ruby was on the way to a shout, she was the one on the motorbike. I know Iain and Ruby are quite close so if you're not up it it I'll send Cal but you was the first doctor I saw."

" No, no I'll go, does Iain know?"

Lily started a slight jog towards the staff room to collect her gear.

"No I think it's better if he finds out when she gets here."

"Okay, Thanks Dylan."

Dylan retuned to his office, armed with paper work as Lily raced to the scene of the accident.

Back at the scene, Jan along with other paramedics was treating Ruby.

Ruby's eyes began to flutter open.

In a lament of panic Ruby didn't know what was going on. Her first instinct was to move, lash out.

"Hey Ruby it's Jan, you've been involved in a RTC. Keep still for me we're gonna sort you out."

Jan smiled as calmly as she could at Ruby but inside she could only think about the wedding. Her boss lay on the tarmac, her bike on top of her destroyed and pieces of yellow plastic from the bike lay yards up the road.

Ruby was dazed, confused. Her head has got the tarmac so hard her helmet top layer has shattered. Her right leg was bleeding badly.
