My oxygen

Mumbling the unknown.

An RRV arrived on the scene, a paramedic sat in the driver's seat and Lily sat in the passenger seat. She pounced out of the car before the breaks has even applied. She grabbed the medical bags from the back of the car before turning to face the wreckage.

She stared at the wreckage, what was left of the motorbike and where the lorry had ended up.

She mumbled"Bloody hell."

Lily raced over to Ruby's side and she threw her bags to the ground and immediately acted to Ruby's aid.

"Hi Ruby it's Lily as they were going to send Cal but I thought you would want someone with a bit more cheerfulness."

Ruby mumbles, she was in and out of consciousness so wasn't fully aware of what's going on.

"Right Lev can you give me a handover here please."

Lily ordered, whose authority overpowered the others"

"This is Ruby Sparks, 22. Involved in a high speed crash when a lorry has needed up on the other side of the road and has hit Ruby. Ruby has been thrown a few yards up the road. She was unconscious on arrival, GCS is still altered slightly. Roadside treatment has started..."

The handover continued.

Lily was now checking over Ruby. She felt her pelvis. Ruby groaned in pain, the oxygen mask muffled the agonising whine. She jolted her body which meant pain penetrated through her body.

Further down her body, Ruby whinced in pain as Lily felt her dislocated kneecap. Throughout the process Lev was cutting off Ruby's clothes. Revealing grazes and bruising throughout her body.

" Ruby, you're gonna hate me for this but I want to put your knee cap into place. Gives us one less thing to worry about when transferring you to hospital"

Ruby's confusion means that she wasn't too bothered about what's to come. Lily places her gloves hand on the right knee cap, you could already see the pain wipe across the married woman to be. In a matter of seconds, muffled groans of plain slightly disappeared as the knee cap was popped back into place.

On the journey to hospital, a matter of minutes, Ruby began to make a bit more sense. Although she couldn't remember anything that has happened, lashing out at medics, having her knee popped in, she was not able to string a bit more of a sentence together.
