By now it was about half an hour later.

Assessments has been done, tests completed, scans booked, coffee drunk and pain enhanced.

The morphine had worn off slightly. Ruby's breathing had worsened quickly.

Dylan had left RESUS to see to other patients but had now returned, armed with his IPAD full of results.

"Right Ruby. I've got the majority of your results. From head to toe, you've got a small fracture to your brain, bruising on your brain, multiple rip fractures. I've decide I will try a needle decompression" as the list went on.

"Can you repeat all that? Ruby smirked

"Erm" What will happen with my skull fracture?"

"We are hoping that'll fuse it back together by itself"

"Hoping? So it might not be?"

"I'm waiting to hear back from a specialist."

"Okay where's Iain?"

"Drinking his posh tea I assume. Should I get someone to go and get him? That's a lot to take in by yourself."

"Yes Please."

Dylan turned to Robyn who was filling in paperwork at the far corner of the room.

"Nurse Miller could you go and get Iain Dean please?"

Robyn nodded and acted on queue.
