Upstairs in Landens room
"This trip is gonna suck ass," Colton said to Landen. "Exactly, especially since Leilani and Brayden HATE each other, They're probably gonna be going at each others throats the whole time!" Landen said, "Luckily we have a few days before we have to deal with all that shit." Colton said, "We should go to Connors this week." Colton said, "I don't know man, remember last time? We all got high and his parents almost caught us with those girls! And besides I don't think our siblings will let us, since they're in charge." Landen said,
"Hey guys do you wanna spend a few days at Conners? I talked to our moms and they said it's fine." I said, "we would LOVE too!" Colton said eagerly, "Great pack up you guys stuff, and i'll drop you off in about an hour." I said, then left the room. "I can't wait to get to Connors! Do you know how longs it's been since i've had a blunt?" Colton said, "I don't really care drugs are kinda pointless you know? So what they fuck up up for a few hours make you feel numb then what? You do more and more till your addicted, and then bam your life is fucked." Landen said, "Dude you're so weird, i've never met someone that sells drugs but doesn't do them." Colton said, "Well I like money and if I have to sell drugs to get it, I don't give a fuck." Landen said then laughed, "Look in my front pocket," Colton said,
as Landen unzipped the front pocket of his backpack, to unveil five hundred dollars in cash. "You made all of this from selling weed and vapes?" Landen said, "Nope, Connor got a hold of some heiron. And I was at the store and I ran into some stupid crackhead that paid me five hundred for literally nothing! I know when we got into this we said we wouldn't sell that hardcore stuff, but that kind of stuff can get us some major money!" Colton said, "I don't know weed is one thing, but heiron?" Landen said, "Just think about it ok?" Colton said, "Ok," Landen said,
An hour later.
"Ok I dropped the boys off at Connors." I said, then set my keys down on the marble counter. "Great, you know I thought about it and you should bring your boyfriend. What's his name again?" Brayden said to me, "um..we uh broke up a like a few months ago, he cheated on me and um did some other stuff." I said, I hate reminiscing the days when me and my ex dated. It just hurts to think of all the pain he caused me and all the shit he put me through. "Oh damn, i'm sorry I just thought you guys were still together." Brayden said, I could tell he was genuinely sorry its kinda weird I'm so used to him being an ass. "So what are you working on?" I said, then sat next to him on the couch.
"Just a collage application," Brayden said while typing into his laptop. "If you really want your application to stand out, do this." I said then reached to his computer then typed in it. "Oh cool," Brayden said, "So what time should I be ready tomorrow?" I said, "We could get on the road like at six something in the morning." He said, "That works for me," I said, "I'm so not ready for collage," Brayden said, "Why?" I replied, "I..I know this sounds stupid but I feel like I should stay here and be there for my family you know? Todd is great and all but this is the third time my mom getting married, she's not gonna be happy and she's gonna get a divorce. Then she's gonna start spiraling and drinking and i'm left to take care of Colton. I just don't think it's a good idea for me to take off and leave, it just doesn't feel right." Brayden said,
"Look I see where you are coming from, really I do. But do you think that's a good idea? You're throwing away a chance to get an education for something that might not even happen. And hey if it does end up happening we live right around the corner from y'all, I won't be there but my mom will. She can make sure your mom is good if something happens, and as for your brother he has Landen and a bunch of friends to support him and be there for him. And even though you can't be there physically, you can still be there for them. Call them check up in them, and visit whenever you can." I said, then squeezed Braydens hand.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." he replied, "I'm gonna go get some rest, you should too." I said, then Brayden dug in his pocket for his keys. "You don't have to go home you know? You can crash here it's no big deal." I said, "I have to pack a few things, so I'll be back in a few." Brayden said, then left and locked the door behind him.
