The summer road trip

(Chapter 10) Things are ok.

the next day.

"Good morning babe," Brayden said then kissed my forehead. "Good morning," I replied.
"Hope the boys aren't worried, that we didn't come back to the room last night." Brayden said then snuggled up next to me. "They'll be fine," I said then leaned in to kiss him. But I was interrupted by banging on the window, it was Landen.

"Open the door!" Landen shouted, the hell is this fools problem? "What?" I responded then sat up. "Connor won't let me shower before him, and I fucking called it. That retard needs to go home I can't stand him!" Landen shouted, I haven't seen him this angry in a while. Something tells me this is about more than just a shower. "Ok we're coming," I said then Landen walked away.

"Last night was fun," Brayden said then held my hand. "You don't have to lie to me, you were probably miserable. I know you probably wanted to have...sex but I'm just not ready you know." I said then tugged at my hair tie. "Woah I never said I wanted to have sex. And I definitely don't want you to feel pressured into it by me. And if you wanna you know wait till marriage, I'm fine with that too. Whatever makes you feel comfortable, ok?" Brayden said, then kissed my forehead.

"You know you're amazing, right?" I said then hugged him. "I know," He said then opened the car door and got out. "So what are we gonna do with the boys, since the music festival is tonight?" I said, while we walked towards the entrance of the hotel. "Connors parents are here, they just texted me. So I think we could just leave Colton and Landen here." Brayden said, I don't know why but I had a stupid idea of bringing them with us. "What if...we just brought them with us?" I said, I could tell Brayden hated the idea based on his facial expressions.

"I guess," he said. I could tell he absolutely hated the idea but didn't wanna say that he did. "I know it sounds like a bad idea, but I think it'll be fun." I said, then opened our room door to reveal the boys fist fighting. "GET OF OF ME!" Colton screamed, "everyone shut the hell up." I screamed on the top of my lungs. I'm surprised the hotel hasn't kicked us out by now.

"Connor Whoung if you don't get over here this instant!" Connors mother shouted from behind me and Brayden. Neither of us knew she was there, so when she yelled she scared the hell out of all of us. "Coming mother, bye guys." Connor said then grabbed his book bag and left. "Okay..." Brayden said, "Who wants to go to a music festival tonight?" I asked, then Colton and Landens eyes immediately lit up.

"Sounds great!" Colton said, "Well i'm gonna go hop in the shower." Brayden said, then went in the bathroom. "Can we talk?" I said to Landen, then motioned at the balcony. "sure why not," he replied. "What's going on with you? I barely recognize you now, I knew you were a little wild but drugs? Just why Landen you're better than this, I know you are." I said, I wanted to say more. But I wanted to give him the chance to explain himself.

"I just wanted to fit in, it just started with me selling vapes like Connor. Then people at my school started asking me for weed. And I started selling it too, with Connor and Colton. But I never did any of the drugs I swear, I just liked having money." Landen said, then he turned his face away from me. "Our family has more than enough money, I would even go as far to say we're rich. So why would you feel the need to sell drugs for money? If you needed some mom could've easily given you some." I said, I'm finding it hard to believe he did it just for money.

"And I..I liked how popular I was getting. People didn't know me as the rich goody two shoes. And since my two best friends did it, I don't know I guess I thought it was ok. Then the more and more I hung out with Connor, I picked up his habits. It wasn't until I got drunk one night, and lost my virginity to a girl a barley knew. That I started realizing it wasn't ok to be doing this stuff. But anytime I'd speak out, Connor would shut me down and stuff. So I just went with it, I knew I would get myself into trouble one day. But not like this, because of my drug dealing I almost got killed. I'm never selling drugs ever again, I don't care if nobody likes me.Drugs are definitely not worth losing your life." Landen said,

"Wow sounds like you learned your lesson." I responded, "Can you do me a favor, and not tell mom? If she has to find out I at least want to tell her myself." Landen said to me, "If you promise to never do anything like this ever again! Then I don't see why mom has to know any of this." I said, "Really? Thank you Leilani, I love you so much!" Landen said then-hugged me tightly. It's been to long since we've bonded, it's nice that we got to today.

"I love you too," I said then hugged Landen again. "So how are things with you and Brayden? Have you guys had sex yet?!?" Landen shouted, I'm pretty sure Brayden heard him. Even though he's in the shower blasting music. "Shhh!!! And way to pry into my love life. And no we haven't, I still remain a virgin mary." I said, then Landen smirked. "If you guys want some alone time, me and Colton could get lost for a few." Landen said, "No, no I..uh don't think I'm ready for that yet." I said then chuckled awkwardly.

"Well summer isn't gonna last forever, soon I'll be going off to eleventh-grade and you'll be a freshie in collage. So if you wanna make a move do it soon, the summer is coming to an end soon." Landen said then left the balcony, leaving me sitting by myself. "Hey," Brayden said then sat in the empty chair. "Hey," I responded staring at the scenery in front of us. "This is a beautiful city." Brayden said, the sunlight hit his eyes perfectly. They made them look like the ocean only better. "Damn your eyes are gorgeous." I said making him blush,

"Thank you, but not as gorgeous as you." Brayden said then leaned in and kissed me. "I don't think i'm that scared to go to collage anymore." I said, "I'm glad to her that, but why changed?" Brayden asked, "I just looked back at everything we've done in the past week. Like I would've never gone on a road trip with you, gone to mexico to get our siblings, or even had let myself fall in love with you. But I did all that even though I was afraid, I still did it. And it was great, and I don't wanna be afraid of being on my own. Because if I'm scared of being on my own, then I'll miss out on the fun things about being in collage." I said, "Good, I'm proud of you Leilani." Brayden said the. gently placed his hand on my leg.

"Crap it's almost six, I'm gonna go get ready." I said then hopped up from the chair I was sitting on. "You need some help? My mother says I have impeccable taste in fashion. " Brayden said in a faux british accent. "I'm sure you do, but I guess you can come help me find something to wear." I said, then Brayden quickly followed me inside the room.
