The summer road trip

(Chapter 18) I still love you.

a few hours later.

I finally finished getting ready for dinner tonight. I was wearing a fitted black dress with spaghetti straps. And I was wearing some simple strap brown heals to go with my dress. "Knock knock," Noah said the opened my door. "What's the point of saying knock knock if you're just gonna barge in." I said then chuckled, while I put my earrings in. "You look absolutely beautiful baby." Noah said then kissed me. "Thank you, you look sexy in your suit." I said, "I try, I try." Noah said then pulled a tiny box out of his pocket.

"What's that?" I said then smiled. "Close your eyes babe." Noah said then stood close behind me. I could feel his fingers trailed across my neck, making goosebumps appear on my skin. Then I felt him put a necklace around my neck. "Ok open your eyes Leilani!" Noah said then hugged me front behind and kissed my neck. "It's so beautiful Noah, thank you." I said then turned and kissed him.  "See it matches the bracelet." Noah said then squeezed my hand.

"You're so sweet, I love it thank you." I said then hugged him tightly. "Happy birthday baby I love you." Noah said then kissed my forehead. "I love you more." I said then hugged him. "Let's head to the restaurant." Noah said then held my hand tightly.

Fifteen minutes later at the restaurant.

"There she is!" Kelly said then she got up and hugged me. "You look very nice sweetie, I wonder who got you that dress?" My mom said then laughed. "Well if you must know my lovely mother did." I said then hugged my mom. "Ok enough with the chit chat let's eat, this food looks delicious!" Landen said, then Karan laughed. "I'm with Landen," Karan said then everyone started laughing.

Twenty minutes later.

"So how has you and Colton senior year been going Landen?" I said then Colton rolled his eyes. "It's going great, I'm barley passing all my classes." Landen said, then Colton scoffed. "Maybe if you actually went to your classes, you wouldn't have that problem." Colton said, "Okay why don't you don't presents now Leilani?" My mom said, then passed me my first gift to open.

"Who's this from?" I asked, "Oh that's from me!" Landen said excitingly, then I ripped the wrapping off; it's was a new phone. "Surprise!" He shouted then my mom shushed him. "Thank you Landen I love it." I said then blew him a kiss.

After a few minutes I opened up all my gifts. Then my mom pulled an envelope out of her bag. "Oh there's one more, I think this is from on of your friends back at home. It didn't have a name on it for who it's from." My mom said then handed me the envelope.

"Ok it says happy birthday to one the the most beautiful and kindhearted girls I know. You're literally so amazing words can't even describe it. You're the reason why I wake up with a smile every morning. And you're the reason I go to sleep at night smiling. I don't know what it is but there's something about you I can't shake. Happy birthday Leilani I love you to the moon and back." I said, I knew the card was from Brayden. Not only did I recognize the handwriting, but the I love you to the moon and back was a dead giveaway.

"That's sounds like something your friend Talia would write!" My mom said, "Yeah it does, I'll be sure to shoot her a thank you text." I said then closed the envelope, I caught Brayden glancing at me a few times. "I hate to do this but I have a surprise for you babe. But I have to go get it ready, Just whenever you're finished up here meet me at my penthouse." Noah said then kissed my cheek. "Alright bye, love you." I said then he got up, "Love you more." He replied,

"Whenever you're done one of us can give you a ride to his place." Karan said then smiled. "Brayden can do it, right?" Colton said then smirked. "Uh..y...yeah sure, it's no problem. Just um let me know when you're ready to go." Brayden said then smiled. "Thank you guys for all of this is really means a lot. For you guys to take time out of your busy schedules and to see me in the middle of November. I love you guys so much thank you." I said then smiled,

"You're coming home for thanksgiving right?" Kelly asked, "No christmas, I'm spending thanksgiving with Noah's family." I said then smiled, "It's so hard having to share my baby." My mom said then hugged me. "Bye it was nice seeing you!" Karan said then he and Kelly both hugged me, the Landen and Colton hugged me also.

"Alright are you ready to go?" Brayden asked, "Yeah let me pull up the address." I said then followed Brayden to his car. "Thanks for the um...the card, it was really sweet." I said then buckled up. "What acre wasn't that from um... what was her name uh...Talia." Brayden said then laughed, "I know it was from you." I said the he pulled out. "How so?" He asked, "I love you to the moon and back? Nobody I know says or said that, except you." I said then Brayden smiled.

"You caught me," Brayden said then chuckled. "Is it true?" I asked, "That I still love you? One hundred percent, Leilani you must have me under some sort of spell. Because no matter how hard I try I still love you. I can't forget about you, or the way things ended." Brayden said, "Don't, don't do this now I have a boyfriend. And I'm happy, don't...d..don't complicate things please." I said, not noticing we got to Noah's penthouse.

"I have to go, thanks for the ride." I said then got out the car and slammed the door. Brayden didn't pull off yet, I guess he was waiting till I got inside. "Hey baby," Noah said then he hugged and kissed me. "Hey you," I said then kissed him back. Then Brayden finally pulled off I didn't turn around to see if he was looking at me, but he probably was.

"Let's go inside," Noah said then grabbed my hand. When I walked inside there was a trail of rose petals trailing throughout the house. And there were a bunch of candles lit, "All this for me?" I said then smiled. "Of course baby," Noah said then grabbed my hand and leaded me on the path of flower petals. Then we made it to his bedroom, there were flowers in the shape of a heart on the bed.

"Listen I just want you to know, that I love you so much. And I'm just so blessed to call you my girlfriend. I love you more than anything in this world." Noah said then pulled me into his arms and kissed me. Then we both fell onto the bed wrapped in each others embrace. Then he reached to slide my dress of but he froze. "If you don't want to we don't have to, the fact that you're here with me is enough for me." Noah said the I kissed him.
"No, I..I want to, and I love you too." I said then unzipped his pants, and kissed him again.
