The summer road trip

(Chapter 6) Something I need.

"Now do I have your attention?" Pablo said, "yes! Just please put the gun down!" Connor said, I could faintly hear sirens so the police where getting close. "Connor run!!" Colton yelled, "WHY THE HELL DID YOU TELL HIM TO RUN?!" I shouted while the three of us ran for our lives. "BECAUSE IF WE STAY THERE WHEN THE POLICE COME WE'LL ALL GET ARRESTED!" Colton yelled, "Quick, there's a shed let's hide there!" I said, "There's a car in here." Connor said out of breath. "Ok and?" I said, "I know how to key a car!" Colton said, then started to work on keying it. "Ok stop! This guy tried to shoot you now you're gonna steal his car!" I shouted, "Shhhh! And it's not stealing if he stole it from someone else!" Connor said then got in the drivers seat.

"Just get in the car, we don't have time for this!" Colton said to me, then shoved me in the backseat. This isn't gonna end well just like last time. "Where are we even going Connor?" I said, "just relax, we're gonna stop by your house to pick up some stuff. Then we'll get back on the road!" Connor said, "What the hell do you mean? Why are we gonna get back on the road?" I said, "We can't stay here think about it, we almost got killed." Connor said, "you almost got killed." Colton said, "and besides we sell drugs and Pablo probably ratted us out! So the police are probably looking for us as we speak. So we need to get out of town for a few days, till all this heat blows over." Connor said, "I guess you're right." I replied,

"How are we gonna explain this to our siblings?" Colton said, "It's three in the morning they are probably sleeping." Connor said, "Or not! I downloaded this tracker on Leilani's phone without her knowing, and it's showing that they are in las vegas!" I shouted, "Why the hell are they in Las Vegas?" Colton said, "More importantly, why'd you put a tracker on your sisters phone? I mean you know I've liked her for years, so why are you doing this to my woman's phone without me knowing?" Connor said, "Just shut up," Colton said."I used it that time we threw a party, so I could know when to have everybody out." I said, "Oh nice, that party was fire I'm shocked you threw it!" Connor said, what the hell is that supposed to mean? "What do you mean?" I asked, "That you aren't really...never-mind. Ok we are at your house put whatever you need for a couple days in a suitcase." Connor said, "Ok." I replied.

Later in Las Vegas
Leilani's pov

"Leilani are you up?" Brayden said, "Yeah, I took a short nap but I'm up now." I said then sat up on the bed. "Get dressed I wanna take you somewhere." Brayden said, "Ok," I said
A few minutes later.

"What's in the backpack?" I said, "You'll see!" Brayden replied, I was kinda confused because he walked right past the car. "We aren't driving?" I said, "Nope let's walk, it feels really nice outside." Brayden said, then put his arm around me. I thought this trip was gonna be terrible, but it's been pretty nice getting closer with Brayden. And then it's kinda weird at the same time, since we've hated each other all our lives. "Ok we are here," Brayden said then laid a blanket down on a beautiful hill. You could see the entire city, and you could see the sun setting perfectly.

"This is so beautiful," I said then leaned my head on Braydens shoulder. "It really is," Brayden replied. "Thank you for bringing me here, I really needed this." I said, then Brayden turned and faced me. "There's something I need," Brayden said then caressed my cheek. "And what's that?" I said while staring into his deep blue eyes. "This," he said then kissed me gently. "I..." I said then Brayden kissed me again this time more passionately. Then I found my hands tangled up in his golden brown hair, while we made out while the sun set.
