The summer road trip

(Chapter 9) I love you too.

The next morning.

"Ok we're an hour and forty minutes from the, shelter the boys stayed at." Brayden said, I felt so relived. "Good I cant wait to see them and slap the shit out of them." I said, "Same here," Brayden said,

A few minutes later in Mexico.

"I'm bored as fuck!" Connor shouted, he needs to shut the fuck up. "Well maybe you wouldn't be bored, if you hadn't almost gotten us killed. Stolen a car from your drug dealer that tried to kill us. Ran from border patrol, the police, crashed the car and made it EXPLODE." I said without looking up from the book I was reading. "Damn you didn't have to do him like that." Colton said, "He didn't have to do us like that!" I shouted, "Why don't we get out of here you know walk around, go sightseeing!" Connor said,  as if I'm doing something Connor came up with.  "No, we are staying here. Leilani and Brayden are like an hour away, so let's sit tight and stay out of trouble till they come." I said,

"Yeah Landens right Connor, we're already in a lot of trouble no need to add to the fire." Colton said, "Whatever, I'm going to the bathroom and I'm gonna y'all to my girlfriend." Connor said, I don't know what that fool was talking about he has no girlfriend. "Who's your girlfriend?" Colton asked, "Leilani!" He shouted, he's literally had a crush on her for as long as we've been friends it's disgusting. "Leilani would never go out with you, first of all I don't think she dates minors." Colton said, "The or people that almost killed her bother twice." I said, then Connor rolled his eyes and left the room.

It wasn't even one minute later, then Connor came running back in the room. "What?" I asked, he looked really scared maybe something was wrong. "There's a police here and a lady was talking about, minors without parents or something!" Connor said, and frantically packed away his stuff in his backpack. "Shit!" I whispered then started getting my stuff together. "There's a backdoor we can leave through." Colton said while putting his backpack on.

After a few minutes, we successfully left the building without anyone knowing and ran for ten minutes straight without looking back. "Finally we're out of that shitty place." Connor said, I'm getting the feeling that there was no police. "You're such an ass!" I shouted, then pounded my fist in Connors face. I jumped on top of him and punched and kicked him over and over again. Colton tried to get me off of him but it was no use. I'm so sick and tired of his bullshit, so I'm gonna fuck him up good. "You guys stop!" Colton yelled, then I pulled back from Connor and wiped the blood from my knuckles on my jeans.

"What the hell is your problem?!" I shouted, "You're one to talk, you literally fought me for no fucking reason!" Connor yelled, then spit blood from his mouth. "I know you lied about the police being at the shelter! You just wanted to get out of there." I said then tried to lunge at Connor but Colton held me back. "Is that true?!" Colton yelled at Connor. "Maybe," Connor said then smiled smugly. "Really Connor?! Really, you can go fuck yourself Im tired of your bullshit!" Colton screamed, while Connor still had that a smug look on his face.

"Now we don't know we're the hell we are, Leilani and Brayden are probably worried sick. And it's all your fucking fault Connor! When are you gonna grow the hell up? I'm sick and tired of you, once we get home, oh my bad if we ever get home. Don't bother talking to me, as a matter an fact if I never see you again; I wouldn't care." I said, Connor finally stoped smiling. Then it's like something in him snapped, and then he lunged at me and started punching me me.

"Get off of me!" I shouted, then hit, punched, and slapped Connor. "You guys cut it out!"  Colton screamed, then a police came out of his car and held a gun up to us. "Está bajo arresto debido a una violación de la ley federal." The police said, then cuffed me, Connor, and then Colton. "Great going!" Colton said then ducked while they put him in the police car.

A few minutes later
Leilani's pov
"Wait, don't stop here keep driving." I said, "Why I thought they were at the shelter. "Landens gps is saying he's like five minutes away." I said, "That's then right there!" Brayden said then swerved the car. "Wait stop!" I shouted then ran as fast as I could to the police. "Ma'am please take a step back, or we'll be forced to restrain you." The officer said to me. "W...what happened why the hell are they getting arrested?!" Brayden shouted, "They aren't getting arrested, they where fighting. So We are gonna take them down to the station, and their parents can pick them up."  The officer responded,

"Listen are parents are in a different country right now. And we where on our way to get to them. So please do you think you could let this slide?" I said, "Fine, but if I see you guys causing anymore trouble.." The officer said, "you won't thank you!" I said then hugged Landen, then punched his arm. "Ow! Hello to you too!" Landen said then rolled his eyes. "Get in the car Colton," Brayden said, "can we leave Connor?" Colton said, "we can't get in Connor!" Brayden said angrily. We finally all got in the car and there was just complete silence. "I'm not even gonna ask," Brayden said, "Just take a deep breath ok?" I said then placed my hand on top of Braydens.

"I just want to say, i'm so sorry for everything." Landen said, "You guys could've got yourselfs killed." I said, then folded my arms. "I said I'm sorry!" Landen shouted, "Well sorry doesn't fucking cut it Landen! What what have happened if you got away with it? You're sorry? Sorry my ass, you're  only sorry because you got caught!" I said, "Are you gonna tell mom Brayden?" Colton said, but Brayden ignored him.

After a few hours we made it back to the hotel. "Woah this is fancy! This is were you guys were staying?" Connor said, but we ignored him. "Your parents are coming to pick you up tomorrow morning." I said, "Wait do they know?" Connor asked, then got out the car. "No, not yet." I said, then he hugged me. "Thanks I knew my girl wouldn't snitch on me." Connor said, then I pushed him off of me. "First of all ew, and second i'm not your girl." I replied then chuckled. "She's my girl," Brayden said then grabbed my waist and kissed me. "When did this happen?!" Colton asked, with a shocked expression on his face.

"Wait you guys are d..d..dating?" Connor said,   "yes we are!" Brayden said then hugged me. "That's nice I..I guess." Connor said, "I thought you guys hated each other?" Landen questioned, "the past is past right?" I said then laughed, "But what about us baby?" Connor said, then held his hand out. "Go to bed." I said, "How the hell are we all gonna fit in one room?!" Colton shouted, "You two can sleep on the bed and Connor you can sleep on the couch." I said, "But what about us?" Brayden said, damn it I have no idea where we are gonna sleep.

"We'll figure it out," I said. "Why the hell do I have to sleep on the couch?! Can't I sleep with you Leilani?" Connor said, "Watch it Connor," Brayden said then pushed Connor lightly. "You're not sleeping in the fucking bed with me and Colton retard." Landen shouted, "Shut the fuck up nobody asked you!" Connor screamed, "All of you guys please be quiet! I'm going for a walk i'm so sick of this." I said then grabbed my jacket, left and slammed the door.

"Leilani! Wait up!" Brayden shouted then ran after me. We walked side by side for a few minutes, in silence then Brayden spoke. "Are you ok?" Brayden asked, then we reached the beach and sat on the sand. "I'm good, I just..I don't know. I guess I'm just scared that...never mind it's stupid." I said, then stared at the moon reflecting over the ocean.  "You can tell me anything Leilani, but if you aren't comfortable it's fine." Brayden said then placed his hand on my leg.

"I'm just scared about school, you know? I'm scared about leaving home, and about just being on my own." I said, I was trying so hard not to cry but I did. "Hey it's ok it's ok to be scared. Moving away from your family is scary, and being on your own is scary. But you know what you can do it, because you're strong. You are amazing, and I know sometimes things are gonna get ruff. But you can do it, I believe in you." Brayden said, "Thank you," I said then kissed Brayden.

"You're so beautiful, how the hell did I get so lucky to have you?" Brayden said then kissed me over and over again. "I don't know how I got so lucky with you. You mean the absolutely world to me, and it sucks that it's took me so long to realize that." I said, then ran my hands through Braydens hair and starting making out with him. "Let's get out of here." Brayden said, with a mischievous smile on his face.

"And go where?" I replied, "How about the car?" He said, "How about I race you there?" I said then started running, and Brayden chased after me. After a few minutes we made it to the car. As soon as we got in the backseat our bodies collapsed on top of each other. Brayden started kissing me passionately, then he stopped and stared at me. "I love you," he said. "Love you too," I responded.
