💜 Purple Heart

So I made this story on Valentine's Day, but didn't post it cause I didn't know how to post on here yet. 🤦‍♀️ I hope you all like it! 💖

I slowly open my eyes from a long night's sleep, trying to adjust to the sunlight shining through my window. "Oh my gosh, it's Valentine's Day!" I jump out of bed and run to Billie's room. "Billie! Happy Valentine's Day!" I jump onto her bed and crawl up to her. She chuckles and wraps her arms around me. "Happy Valentine's Day, darling." She gives me a kiss on my temple and I get up and run to Sally's room next. "Sally!" I start to yell as I jump onto her bed. "Happy Valentine's Day!" She smiles at me and pulls me closer to her. "Happy Valentine's Day, babygirl." She kisses my cheek before I get out of bed to go to Mina's room. "Happy Valentine's Day, Mina!" I say, but realize she's not in her room. "Mina?" I look around and notice her bed is made. I walk out of her room and walk into Cordelia's.

"Hi, sweetheart. Happy Valentine's Day." She walks over and gives me a hug and kisses the top of my head. She looks at me and sees something is bothering me. "What's the matter, sweetie?" "I just looked in Mina's room to tell her happy Valentine's Day, and she wasn't in her room and her bed was already made." I sit down on Delia's bed and lay back on it. "Where is Mina? I'm getting worried." Delia sat right by me and started to rub my leg. "Don't worry, sweetheart, she's fine. She just gets really sad and distant on Valentine's Day." I sit up and look at her. "She does? Why?" "Cause she's never had someone to love on Valentine's Day, or someone to love her back." I could feel my heart slowly breaking. I felt so bad for Mina. I wanted her to feel like she was loved so much. "I wanna do something special for Mina. Something really special for when she gets home." "I think that's a wonderful idea, sweetheart."

(Two Hours Later)

Mina walks in the door, with a sad look on her face, when all of a sudden, we all jump out. "Happy Valentine's Day, Mina!" She jumps and clutches her chest. "Jesus Christ, you scared me!" I walk over to her, my hands behind my back. "Sorry, Mina. We didn't mean to scare you. We just wanted to surprise you." She got a confused look on her face. "Surprise me? Why?" I put my hands in front of her to reveal a small box. "I hope you like it, Mina." "This is for me?" She nervously took the box and slowly started to open it. "Of course it's for you." She opens it and in the box is a purple heart shaped necklace.

"Oh my gosh... it's beautiful." "It opens up too. I put something inside it." She opens it to reveal a picture of her holding me when I was a baby. "So you'll always have me with you wherever you are." I could tell she was starting to tear up. "This is the sweetest and most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for me... Thank you so much, sweetheart." She wraps her arms around me and gives me the tightest hug she's ever given me. "You're welcome, Mina. I love you." I hug her back just as tight. She pulls away and starts kissing my forehead, my cheeks, and my nose. "I love you so much more, my sweet girl."
