💜 Late Night Movie

Ok, so I literally just made this story up as I was writing it, so hope it's good. Lol ❤❤💜💜

Me and the girls were having a movie night, something we haven't done together in a long time. It was now 11 o'clock at night, and I could see that some of the girls were starting to get sleepy. I had my head on Sally's shoulder, with her arm wrapped around me. "It's getting late, we should all get some sleep." Cordelia suggested. "But Delia, I wanna watch just one more!" I replied, trying to beg as much as I possibly could. "Babe, I usually never say this, but I think Dee's right, I'm exhausted from watching those movies." Sally interjected. "Dang it..." I mutter under my breath, getting up to head to my room. I get ready and hug and kiss all the girls goodnight. I wake up in the middle of the night, around 2 am, and feel like I need a drink. I get out of bed and walk to the living room to go through to the kitchen, when I can see a figure sitting on the couch.

I start to walk very slowly to see if I can make out who it is. I get closer and see that it's Mina whose sitting on the couch. And I can see she has her purple blanket draped over her body, and her head is down, and I can't tell if she's awake or asleep. I move in just a tiny bit closer, and the floorboard creaks. Stupid floor, you're never quiet when I want you to! She immediately sits up and tries to compose herself and turns over to see me standing there with this "deer in the headlights" look on my face. "Pumpkin! What are you doing up? It's two o'clock in the morning!" "I-I, I didn't mean to, to be up this late... I was, I was getting a drink of water." I say, trying so hard to keep from peeing my pants out of fear Mina would get mad. "Okay, then get your drink and back to bed."

I go over to the fridge and get a bottle of water out and take a drink from it. I put the water back in and shut the door, all while thinking in my head, "Why isn't Mina acting mad at me? I thought she'd be mad that I'm up so late..." I leave the kitchen and walk over to Mina. "Is, is it okay if I have a hug goodnight?" I ask her, very timidly. She gives me a soft smile and reaches her hand out to take mine. "Of course you can, baby. You don't even need to ask." She pulls me over to her, and sits me on the couch next to her. She wraps her arms around me, holding me tight. I put my head in the crook of her neck, holding her just as tight, smelling her sweet lavender scent. "Hey Mina?" I start, wondering if I should even continue with what I was saying. "Yes, pumpkin?" I sit up and look at her, with a slight grin on her face. "I hate to say this, but..."

"What, baby? It's okay, you can tell me..." "Well, I kinda don't feel like going back to sleep. Is it, alright if I stay up, just for a little bit?" I ask, hoping she wouldn't be mad. She was always pretty strict about me going to bed. "I don't see anything wrong with you staying up for a little bit." Ok, now I'm starting to get scared. She's never been fine with me staying up. No matter how many times I've begged in the past, she'd rarely give in. "Really? Wow, thanks Mina." "You're welcome, sweetheart, as long as you go to bed earlier tomorrow night." I nod my head and hug her again. "So, since you'll be up for a while, would you maybe... want to watch something with me? But you don't have to if you don't want to, I won't force you..." she asks, and I can see a little bit of fear in her eyes, like she's really afraid that I'd reject her.

"Of course I will!" She looks over at me with pure shock on her face. "Really?" "Yeah, of course! I can't remember the last time we spent time together, just the two of us." She gives me the biggest smile I've ever seen on her, and gives me another tight hug. "So what are we gonna watch? Did you already have something in mind?" She grins and says, "No, not really. Is there anything you can think of?" I think for a second before I come up with something. "Well... no, never mind." "What? Tell me." "No, it's dumb, and you wouldn't want to watch it..." she gets a saddened look on her face, and scoots closer to me and cups my face with her hands. "Sweetheart, nothing you consider is dumb to me. Now, what were you thinking of watching?" I look away from her and say very softly, "Spiderman..." "What did you say? Darling, look at me."

I look over at her and she strokes my cheek with her thumb. "What did you say?" "I said "Spiderman"." I look down, ready to hear Mina laugh and tell me that was a stupid suggestion. "I don't remember the last time I watched those movies. Which one did you want to watch?" I look up at her, shocked that she didn't laugh at my suggestion. "The third one." "Isn't that the one where he gets the black suit, and Venom appears?" I grin really big and nod. My brain is exploding and my heart is doing freaking backflips! I can't believe she still remembers what happened in the movie! "Okay, go and get that one. The third one was always my favorite too." She winks at me, and I can't help but grin really big and blush a little. "Ok, I'll be right back!" I take off like a bullet to my bedroom to get the movie.

As I take off, I can hear Mina giggling at my excitement. I come back with the movie and my stuffed Spiderman (yes, I have a stuffed Spiderman, don't judge me. 😑😉). I put the movie in and sit down next to Mina with my Spiderman plush. She drapes her blanket over me and wraps her arm about my shoulder, pulling me closer to her chest. "You comfy, sweetheart?" I look up at her and nod, snuggling into her more. She kisses my forehead and presses the "play" button, starting the movie. Two hours and thirty six minutes later, the credits were rolling and me and Mina were fast asleep on the couch. I woke up a few minutes later, and I look up to see Mina asleep with her arms around me. I grin to myself and slip out of her arms to sit up and stretch. As I stretch, I can feel fingers going down my back, making me flinch.

I turn my head and see Mina looking at me with a smirk. "You sleep good, baby?" I nod and smile sweetly at her. "We missed the end of the movie." I laugh. She giggles and runs her hand through my hair. "Well, we're just going to have to watch it again tomorrow." My eyes get wide and get the biggest smile on my face. "You mean it?!" I jump onto her, causing her back to arch slightly, and her to wince a little. I immediately start to panic and cry, feeling so guilty and scared. Oh my god, I hurt her. I hurt the woman I love more than anything in the universe. "Oh god, Mina, I'm sorry! I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you! I-" "Baby, calm down, it's alright. I'm fine." I'm crying like a baby, so scared I hurt her, even though she just said she was alright. "Shhhh, sweetheart, stop crying, I'm alright."

She pulls me in close, putting my head in the crook of her neck, letting me cry into her shoulder. I hold onto her tight, but not too tight, I was still scared I'd hurt her. "Shhhhh, baby, don't cry, it's alright..." she pulls away enough to look at me, and runs her thumbs over my tear stained cheeks. "I hurt you, I didn't, I didn't mean to, I was just excited that we were gonna watch Spiderman 3 again, and I-" "Shhhh, stop, you're getting yourself worked up. And you didn't hurt me at all, pumpkin." I sniffle and rub my eyes. "Do you mean it? Or are you just lying to make me feel better?" She shakes her head and kisses my forehead, then my cheeks, then my nose and a quick peck on the lips. It was something she always did since I was a baby.

"I promise I'm not lying, and you didn't hurt me at all, babygirl. You being on top of me just put a little pressure on my back. But I'm perfectly fine, alright?" I nod and can see her nightgown is drenched in my tears. "Man, I ruined your nightgown..." she looked at her shoulder, then shook her head and grinned. "It's just water, angel, it'll dry." I chuckle at her response and hug her tightly. "I love you, Mina." "I love you more, my sweet girl. Let's go to bed, huh?" I nod and take her hand as we walk to her room, and snuggle into the covers, excitedly waiting for tomorrow to come.
