It was a nice sunny afternoon, and I was outside playing and running around, while Mina was inside, reading a book on the couch. She had been reading for quite some time, and was about to flip to the next page, when she heard me scream. "OW!" Mina turned her head and immediately got up and ran as best she could outside. "Rhiannon, what happened?! What's the matter?!" She sees me sitting down on the ground, crying and holding onto my arm. She rushes over and crouches down in front of me. "Oh my god, baby, what happened?" "I, I was, just playing and, I didn't see that, that stump sticking out of the ground and, and I tripped and fell on my arm..." I tell her as best I can, while crying from the pain. "Shhhh, it's alright, baby. Let me take a look at it..." Mina starts to feel like she's about to cry as well. Me and Mina have always been so connected, we could even feel each other's emotions.

Whether it was physically or emotionally. She very softly, takes a hold of my arm to take a better look at it. "Oh, it's alright. It's not that bad a scrape." "Well, it feels like I got ripped open!" Mina gives me a sad smile and kisses my forehead. "You're going to be alright, babygirl. Let's get you inside and get you cleaned up." She helps me up and we walk into the house, to the bathroom. She sits me down on the toilet seat lid and opens the cupboard and grabs the first aid kit. She grabs the alcohol and a cotton ball and dumps a little of the alcohol on the cotton. "This is probably going to hurt, so I apologize for the pain, sweet girl." She gives me a kiss on the lips before she puts the cotton ball on my scrape, making me bite my lip hard and start to tear up. "Mina, it hurts..." I whimper as I start to feel a tear come out. Mina wipes it away and leaves a soft kiss in its place. "I know, baby, and I'm so sorry..."

She finishes up cleaning my scrape and grabs a bandaid and softly places it on my scrape, then gives it a kiss. "There, all better. Now let's get you out of those dirty clothes." We walk into my room and she helps me undress and get some new, clean clothes on. "You feeling better?" "Just sore, and hungry." I laugh. Mina chuckles and wraps her arms around me. "Well then, how about I make you and me something to eat and we watch a movie together?" I smile and reply, "That sounds perfect." We walk into the kitchen and I sit on the stool as Mina leans against the counter in front of me. "So, what would my precious angel like to eat?" She puts her forehead against mine and gives me a sweet smile. "I know it's not very filling, but could I have some mashed potatoes?" She chuckles and nods, but says, "On one condition: you have some kind of vegetable with it." "I actually was gonna ask if I could have some broccoli with it. Broccoli sounds so good right now..."

"Alright, darling, your wish is my command. Just quit drooling on the counter." She wipes my lip with her thumb, pretending to wipe away drool, while giving me a playful smirk. I giggle and push her hand away. "Sorry, but you know how I get about broccoli!" "Trust me, I do." She gives me a wink before opening the cupboard to get the get the packet of mashed potatoes out. I walk to the fridge and start to get the bag of broccoli out, before I feel Mina's arm wrap around my waist, pulling me away. "Oh no, darling, you're not doing anything. Go sit down and wait." "But I wanna help, Mina. I don't want you to do this all by yourself. I could make the potatoes and you can do the broccoli." She shakes her head and kisses my forehead. "You're such a sweet girl... my sweet girl." "I love you, Mina." I say as I hug her tightly. "I love you more, my darling angel. You really want to help me cook?"

"I do. I don't want you to do everything by yourself." She gives me a soft smile and nods. "Okay, you make the potatoes and I'll cook the broccoli." I nod and start to pour the water in the pan and turn the burner on. Soon, the food was done and we sat down at the table and ate. "Is it good, sweetheart?" I nod, sticking the fork in my mouth. She giggles and takes a bite herself. After we finished eating, we walked over to the sink to put the dirty dishes in. She then wrapped her arms around my waist and put her chin on my shoulder. "So where would you like to watch the movie, darling?" "I don't really care." She thought for a minute before saying, "How about, we watch it in my room?" "Sounds good to me. Your bed is gonna help me a lot too." Mina gets a confused look on her face. "What do you mean by that, sweetheart?" "Well, I noticed that your scent has helped me a lot with things. Like, it's made me feel better whenever I get sick, or whenever I can't sleep, I can smell your scent, and I'm out like a light."

Mina gets a soft smile on her face and I turn my head and see her eyes are starting to look glassy. "Mina, you okay?" I ask with concern in my voice as I grab both her hands. "I'm alright, darling. I just love you so much..." She wraps her arms around me tight and kisses the top of my head. I hug her just as tight. "I love you too, momma..." I feel her tighten her hold on me and I can't help but get a big smirk on my face. She wipes a tear off her cheek and pulls away from me. "Okay, let's go watch a movie, huh?" I nod and give her another hug and a quick kiss before we walk into Mina's room. I immediately jump onto her bed and snuggle into her covers. Mina giggles and sits down on the bed next to me. "How are you feeling, babygirl?" I take a whiff of her blanket and very softly say, "I feel great." "Good." She chuckles and gives me a soft kiss on the head. She lays down next to me and wraps her arm around my waist, and pulls me in close.

"I'm proud of you, pumpkin..." I look up at her with a confused look and ask, "Why?" "Cause you were very brave when I was fixing your wound. You're my brave girl..." she kisses my temple and holds me tighter. I put my head in the crook of her neck and wrap my arms tight around her waist. "Thanks, Mina. And thanks for fixing my scrape." "Anything for you, babygirl. So what would you like to watch?" I think for a minute before I suggest one of my favorite childhood movies, Ice Age. "I should have known you would say that one." She laughed. I laughed with her and started to get out of bed when she stopped me. "No, you stay right here. I'll get the movie." She kissed my head before she went into my room to get the movie. I slunk back down into the covers and couldn't help but softly smell them for the millionth time. She comes back into the room but stops and leans against the doorway, watching me.

"What good thing did I ever do to deserve someone like her? She is the complete opposite of me, so sweet and kind and loving... she doesn't care about my condition, and no matter what I say or do, she still loves me unconditionally. Even if I get mad and act like a royal bitch. I don't deserve this sweet little angel..." Mina thinks to herself as she looks at me, wrapped in her purple blanket. Mina can feel a tear falling down her cheek and she wipes it away. She silently walks over and sit down on the bed next to me. I flutter my eyes open and see Mina's chocolate brown eyes looking at me. "I take it you're comfortable?" She asks with a smirk. "I didn't mean to fall asleep. Sorry." "You have nothing to apologize for, pumpkin. If you want to sleep, you can. But on one condition..." I nod my head for her to continue. "I sleep with you." I get a big grin on my face and say, "Absolutely." She lays down next to me and wraps her arms tight around my waist, while I put my head in the crook of her neck and wrap my arms around her tightly, peacefully drifting off to sleep.
