You wake up and stretched, accidentally hitting your hands on the wall behind you. Standing up you stretched your legs and looked out the window. The city below was thriving with chaotic life.
There was a knock on the door, and you tell them to come in. It was a slender demon, with dark red skin and a pointed tail. His scleras were pale yellow and his pupil and iris's were pitch black. He wore his silver, shoulder-length hair in a messy short ponytail.
"Welcome to the Magne estate miss! I'll be your trainer for a year, I'll show you the ropes and anything you want to know about hell!" His voice was smooth, and had a slight accent. "Names' Burgs by the way, what's yours?" He extended a clawed hand towards you, you shook it.
"(Y/n)." You said. He handed you some clothes. You took them and inspected them. They seemed like they would fit.
"Here's some clothes for training, we can get some more clothes later this week." He said. You nodded and he started to walk out of the room. "Meet me at the end of the hall when your done, this place can get a bit confusing for new comers." He then closed the door.
You look at the clothes and they look fairly comfy. You take a minute and slip them on, they're simple (F/c) long-sleeve shirt and pants. You slip on your shoes and look at yourself in the small mirror and fix your hair a bit, so it doesn't look like you jut rolled out of bed.
Stepping out of the room, you close the door and start walking down the hallway. the clothes felt comfortable and fit perfectly, surprising since you didn't meet him till today.
Burgs was talking to someone when he spotted you. The other person scurried away and left you two alone. You look around him, in the direction the other person went.
"Who was that?" You asked, still looking over. He chuckled lightly.
"That was one of the maids who work here, I told her to make us some breakfast." He said, walking forward. You followed him through the halls until you reached a small dining hall, where a few other people were eating.
You both sit down, him across from you and someone brings you some steak and eggs. You looked down for a moment before looking back up, questionably. Burgs smiled at you and gestured for you to eat. After a minute, you tart eating, not realizing how hungry you were. You didn't eat at all yesterday.
"We gotta eat before we train, so we don't feel weak or tired." He said, waving at someone to come over. You didn't really want to talk to anyone else, but you have to get familiar with the people here somehow.
A demoness with stark white skin, and long pitch black hair approached you and sat down next to Burgs. She had blood red eyes with no iris's. She also had a pair of silver cat ears. She grins at you, showing needle sharp teeth.
"Whose the new meat Burgs~?" Her voice sounded flirtatious.
"This is (Y/n), she showed up sometime yesterday." He said, eating his steak.
"Pleasure to meet you (Y/n)~ I'm Merida." She extended a hand to you and you shook it. She then stood up and yawned. "I'll be taking a cat nap before I go out with the family in the city~" She walks out of the room.
You finished your food and pushed the plate aside. "So who exactly is the Magne family? I met them yesterday, and they seem to be nice and powerful people." you lightly drummed on the table.
"They are one of the longest living demons here, they are what created Hell." He said. You must've looked surprised because he laughed. "And we have to protect them from getting killed."
You nodded. "Then why are there so few of us? He said that the last one showed up centuries ago." You stood up when he did and you followed him out into the hall. Burgs shrugged.
"I never figured out why myself. Or why we appear in that cell room either." He said.
You both walk in silence for awhile. You occasionally saw servants walking around, keeping to themselves. Burgs said its mainly out of respect. You didn't question it, since your not costumed to this place yet.
Eventually you find yourself in a training room with various knives of different shapes and sizes. The training room was big too, with dart boards and mats and weights. You wander around he room, seeing all the different weights they have stored here.
Burgs cleared his throat loud enough to be heard from across the room. "First, you need to call your weapon. It'll be a bit tricky at first, since it'll be your first time. Just concentrate and it'll appear."
You nod and close your eyes. You begin to concentrate on the center of your hand, willing for a weapon to form. You thought nothing was happening for a second, but suddenly your hands and fingers began tingling with an unknown feeling. You keep focusing and soon you felt a weight in your hands as the sensation went away.
Opening your eyes, you see a halberd grasped in your hands (Similar to the picture below). The wood was dark oak and the fabric was white, tethered at the end were some black and white feathers.
You stood there shocked, and Burgs looked pleasantly surprised. You swung the weapon around a bit, testing it out. It was well balanced and sharp as could be.
"I didn't think you'd be able to summon your weapon on your first day (Y/n)! It took me a week to summon mine." He said, clapping.
You smiled at him and walked towards the center of the room. You continued to swing your weapon around, getting used to how it flows and moves. Burgs gave you some tips, which you took to your advantage.
After awhile, you stop. Burgs brought you a water bottle and you happily drank the liquid in a few gulps. He was surprised on how thirsty you were. After the small break, you went back to training.
Burgs said he'd begin your training with simple hand-to-hand sparring. He quickly showed you how to make your weapon disappear. Once you did, you and him begin sparring, and he won through most of it, but he was going easy on you.
The sparring was fun and enjoyable even though it was tiring. When you were done he told you to rest in your room till dinner. Then he left you in the training room because he was called to do something.
