CHAPTER FIVE

Tori's first thought after being claimed again was 'fuck I'm cold as shit!'

The dress Aphrodite gave her was not doing her any favors in providing heat. Even with the camp's controlled climate, it was still at least 45 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside.

As soon as the crowd settled down and we're dismissed for curfew, Annabeth immediately wrapped her arms around Tori in a bone crushing hug.

"So I'm guessing Erica was a daughter of Aphrodite," Tori stated and Annabeth slightly laughed.

Erica was Tori's biological mother. She only had a few memories of her biological mom, but she still had some.

"Well that may explain why you're Poseidon's only daughter," Annabeth suggested and Tori nodded her head.

Before they could say anymore Jason walked over.

"So I wanted to properly ask you if you wanted to go on the quest," he said as he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well no shit Sherlock, I'm apparently the only legacy so your kinda stuck with me," Tori said a little harsher than she meant.

Tori saw Jason reaction and her face soften, "Sorry it's just I'm fucking freezing, and Aphrodite left me sleeveless and barefoot. I think she's trying to give me hypothermia."

Jason laughed as he grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around her.

"Thank you," Tori said as she looked up into his sky blue eyes. Jason just nodded and stared back into her sea blue ones.

Annabeth cleared her throat, "Jason have you asked Piper yet?"

"Huh? Oh yeah I have to do that," Jason said as he finally broke eye contact with Tori. "I'll see you guys later."

"Bye Jason," Tori said as he left.

Jason walked off and Will soon took his place.

"Victoria Sampson-Jackson you are just full of surprises," the son of Apollo said as he also gave the small girl a hug.

"Hey Will," Annabeth greeted she the turned to the younger girl, "I'm gonna go make sure that Jason has a cot ready for him in Cabin One, I'll see you later Tori."

"Bye Annie," she called out and Annabeth waved.

"So back to surprises," Will said

"Yeah, well in my defense I had no clue that I was a legacy," Tori said.

"I'm not talking about being a legacy, I mean that's cool and all, I'm talking about what just happened with Jason," Will said and Tori rolled her eyes.

"Nothing happened Will," Tori said and he scoffed.

"Um excuse me the way you were looking at each other, I could see the sparks fly...pun not intended," Will giggled.

"We weren't looking at each other in any type of way!" Tori exclaimed trying to get it through his head.

"Well whatever, all I know is he is hot and you two were having a moment," Will said and Tori once again rolled her eyes.

"Did you only come over here to tell me that me and a Jason were having a moment?" Tori asked her friend.

"No, not originally, I came over to tell you good luck as you have yet another death defying quest," Will said.

"Am I really Tori if I don't go on a life threatening quest?" Tori asked jokingly and Will laughed.

"You know I really can't remember a time where you weren't leaving to go do something for the gods," Will said and Tori snorted.
