"This is Bombilo's Coffee Shop," Jason said. "They sell some of the best pastries in New Rome."
"How's the coffee?" Tori asked him.
Jason opened his mouth to say something, but Percy beat him to it. "It's pretty good, but you'd drink it anyway cause you have a coffee addiction."
Tori elbowed him in his ribs. "Perc, we've been over this. I'm not a coffee addict, I'm a coffee enthusiast. There's a difference."
"Says the girl who drank four iced coffees in the span of two hours," Piper piped in.
"Hey, you had three," Tori argued.
"Three small coffees," Piper countered. "Tori you had four large."
"Whatever."
They entered the red roof building, and was instantly hit with the pleasant smell of coffee and baked goods. There was luckily a short line, so the group of four didn't have to wait that long.
"What should I get?" Tori asked no one in particular.
"The cherry muffins here are really good," Percy suggested.
"They also have triple chocolate cake here," Jason said, "I know that's your favorite."
"How do you know that's her favorite?" Percy asked, narrowing his eyes at the son of Jupiter.
"You pick up on what few things will calm Tori down when she's pissed," Jason shrugged. "Triple chocolate cake has the biggest success rate, well that and blue food."
"So Tori gets pissed at you often then?" Percy questioned, folding his arms over his chest.
Tori frowned at her brother; she knew what he was doing. "Perc, stop it. You piss me off more than Jason does. Lightning boy here has only seriously pissed me off once."
Jason groaned, "how many times do I have to tell you I'm sorry?"
"You ate a fish Jason!"
Percy gasped and looked at Jason in horror, "YOU DID WHAT?"
Jason put his hands up in surrender. "I genuinely forgot, and like I said before I'm so sorry."
"FISH ARE FRIENDS NOT FOOD!" Both Poseidon children yelled at him, gaining the attention of everyone in the cafe. Neither Tori or Percy seemed to care.
"There's nothing to see here folks." Piper used her charmspeak, and everyone in the coffee shop went back to what they were doing before.
Piper had watched the exchange between the other three in total amusement. Clearly, Percy had picked up on the fact that Jason and Tori have feelings for eachother; even if the two were too blind to see it for themselves. Seriously, for a legacy of Aphrodite Tori was completely oblivious to the fact that Jason felt the same way she did.
It hurt Piper a little, because she still had feelings for Jason. She had accepted the fact that her feelings towards Jason at Wilderness school was due to the mist. But once Piper got to know the real Jason, she still had feelings. Piper saw the way Jason looked at Tori, but there would be times that Jason would look at her like that. She just didn't want to get her hopes up.
A person cleared their throat gaining the attention of the four. It was the girl behind the counter, and Tori realized they were holding up the line.
"Um, are you ready to order?" The girl asked, and blushed when she saw Jason. It might have been a legacy of Venus thing, but Tori immediately knew that this girl liked the blonde boy.
"Oh hey Bailey. I didn't know you got a job here at Bombilo's," Jason greeted. The girl, Bailey, gave him a bashful smile. Tori willed herself not to look bothered by the slight jealousy she was feeling.
