Chapter 24: The Jealous Woman

Luke's POV

I'm still thinking kung sino man yung ex ni Steff. Swerte na sana siya, bakit niya kaya siya pinakawalan? And now napakamailap sa lalake ni Steff. Nadamay pa ako na nagbalak manligaw.

"Babe?" dumating narin si Cindy at umupo sa harap ko, "Thanks for always waiting for me ha para sabay tayong makapag lunch" ang sarap sa feeling pag na a appreciate ka ng crush mo.

Wait, crush? Crush lang, Luke? Damn dapat love na.

Cindy has always been sweet, caring and thoughtful. Who would have not like that? But it feels weird na sometimes I still think of Steff. I also had a crush on her. Crush lang din naman pero why can't I stop thinking of her? Na sayang lang di niya ako pinayagan na manligaw.

"I have a favor to ask sana?" Cindy

"Sure."

"I saw you with Steff kanina? What was that about?" mahinahon at medyo nahihiyang tono niya

"Ahh... nothing. We just bumped to each other. It wasn't on purpose." alangan naman na sabihin kong tinanong ko si Steff about what's going on between her and Kael. That's kind of inconsiderate para sa girlfriend ko.

"But you were talking about something eh?" at napayuko siya

"Yes we were. Pero nothing special. Nagkasalubong lang and some small greetings, a simple kamusta something like that. Yun lang. Very short interaction." making alibis now, huh

"Nagkamustahan? And why? Is that necessary?... It's just... you tried to court her eh. You got busted agad diba... so why ask about how is each other pa?" is she upset?

"Are you... are you jealous?" hindi ko alam pero ito nalang bigla yung nasabi ko. Cindy's acting weird.

She just remained silent

"So you are?" pag kompirma ko

"Luke... hindi naman siguro maaalis yun sa babae? I'm your girlfriend now and she's your ex-- I mean, ex-crush. Sinubukan mo siyang ligawan, why? Because you were attracted to her. It's not that sobrang tagal na non for me not to worry. I'm worried na, baka you still has a crush on her? I'm sorry but... do you get it?  What I'm trying to say here?"

Parang bigla akong na-guilty. She's right. She's my girlfriend and I should only set my eyes on her. Only on her. Eyes and attention, sakanya lang dapat. No other crushes. Cindy's so genuine. I can't just let her feel upset. I must admit. Mali ko yun.

C'mon, Luke. Loyal tayo e. Never mind of any other girls but just your girl, Cindy. Forget about that masungit na Steff who dumped you.

"I'm sorry if you feel that way. I admit, naging insensitive ako sa part na kinausap ko pa siya when I should have nothing to do with her naman na. Don't worry, babawi ako sayo" I smiled at her.

Babawi ako sa part na I should learn to love you back. Alam kong mahal mo na ako while I'm still not there yet since we're still new. I like you for having such good personalities and I'll love you for being you as well. I should be thankful that I have someone by my side so sweet and genuine as you are.

"Thanks, babe. You really are the best" she smiled back. Ang ganda,,, that's my crush.

Steff's POV

I can't believe it! Is Kael even serious? He likes me? Nababaliw na ba siya? Sinong tao naman kaya ang papatol sa ex ng bestfriend niya?

Natapos na mga afternoon classes ko. Pero imbes na umuwi na, andito ako ngayon sa rooftop. Nagpapalamig. I'm still shocked sa sinabi sakin ni Kael. And also napapaisip sa gusto niyang mangayare. What if nga ano? What if I give it a try.

Pero hindi eh. It's unfair. One-sided love. I might end up hurting Kael.

So NO. I won't let that happen. Walang gamitan na mangyayare. I can move on by myself. Hindi ko kailangan ng rebound.

"Oh wow. Look who I found here,,, this bitch" at nasira ang napaka-peaceful na ambiance sa pagdating isang demonyita

"Bitch? Are you referring to yourself?" Cindy the slut is here, ruining my mood as always

"And oh, what was that act about? Acting victim with the pabebe ouch. Kulang ka talaga ata sa atensyon ano?-- Oh my God! Why? Hindi ka ba niya binibigyan non? Attention? As much as he was giving to me before? Tsk tsk tsk" asaran ang gusto mo ha

"Shut up! I know what you're trying to do. Inaagaw mo yung boyfriend ko!" wtf? Ang kapal naman talaga ng mukha nito

"Inaagaw? Coming from you pa talaga, you slut? Boyfriend thief"

"What did you just call me?"

"Alin dun? Slut? Boyfriend thief?"

"You bitch! Stay away from my boyfriend!" hindi naman halata na patay na patay ka kay Luke, ano Cindy whore? So pathetic of you

"Ohhh so alam mo pala yan? Stay away from someone else's boyfriend. How come, hindi mo ma-apply sa sarili mo?" stay away ka pang nalalaman ikaw nga yung kating kati dumikit kay Luke habang kami pa!

"Don't tell me, you still like him? Oh my God. You still haven't moved on, right? *sighs* I pity you... but still, know your boundaries... Can't you see? I'm giving you one last chance to stay away from Luke. Maawa ka sa sarili mo, atleast" and she left

I gave her a short laugh pagkatalikod niya as I was so shocked. Girl, the audacity! Saan siya pumupulot ng kapal ng mukha to what? Give me one last chance? Is this a joke?

I took a deep breathe at nagpalamig ng ulo dito sa rooftop

Why do weird things suddenly keep coming to me?! I HATE THIS LIFE!!!
