"I missed this room." he sighs and walks to my desk chair. Now it's seems right for a risky response,

"I missed you." I stare at my feet like a little girl and feel him staring at me.

"I had the weirdest dream last night." I murmur and he stands up abruptly. I stand and watch as he bursts out too loudly that Bianca will hear and note down everything we say.

"So what, you're gay? You like me or you're just a dick." he says and suddenly I hear the sound of quick typing from my sisters room. Of course, typing out our conversation. Hearing him say it scares the crap out of me. Seeing him walking up my stairs scared me. My sister in the next room listening scares me. Jacob scares me.

"I don't— know." I murmur and kick the floor. My sister bellows a laugh through the wall. For fucks sake, Bianca.

"Yes you do." he steps closer and I move back. He knows me. That's so annoying.

"I li— I lik— like-" I try to push the words out but my airway seems to be conveniently blocked.

"Wait.. seriously?" Jake asks because it doesn't take a genius to figure out what I'm trying to admit. I put my head in my hands and move back until my back hits the wall.

"It's fucking stupid, I know." I finally say and look up to see his face. His brown fluffy hair all messy and his hands all big and dirty, his nails cut down to small awkward semi-circles.

"Kings, we can't be together. It wouldn't work and it would ruin our friendship." he explains, turning his back and staring out of my window.

"I think it's safe to say that our friendship is already effectively ruined." I laugh and he dips his head down. I stare at my closed door and sigh. But then Jake starts talking.

"We can't cause like.. you get so paranoid about whether I wash my hands or not. And.. and you can get so carried away like a child which makes me the responsible looking one - you know I hate that. And you have such a weird laugh, like you can't listen to it without laughing too. And you want to be an artist but such at Pictionary." he rambles, pacing the length from my wardrobe to the end of my bed. I can't help but smile as he lists my flaws.

"And I think of you as.. well yeah of course you're hot, you know that. And you always make me smile and speak so well you sound scripted. But.. we're too legendary to be together. Like what would happen, we would date and then break up and only have those stories but they'll be tainted by everything that happened."

I can't stop smiling for some reason, like my mouth knows what he means before I do. I notice that he's walked forward, with not much space between us anymore. Just about the space if my door.

"And.. I'm gonna kiss you now." he says firmly and grabs my face in his hands, pulling my lips to his. And it's different. Different from the last time we kissed. Good different. Like I'm really awake and really kissing Jake. When his lips leave mine I feel almost empty and realise how warm I was.

"Okay," he gulps and smacks his lips, his mouth going warm pink, "If we're going to do this, I'm in it for the long haul. No matter how long that is."

I know no relationships really work out, but I'm in it for as long as we last.

8 Years Later...

Going to the chapel and we're gonna get married
Going to the chapel of love,

"And here we are, eight years later, and their swearing to love each other for the rest of their lives." Olly says with the biggest smile, looking over at us.

"To Jake and Kingsley." he says and raises his glass.

We all cheers him and I kiss my new perfect husband, Jacob.
