Josie's pov

Raphael came in my room to apologize for the way he had been acting lately. He said he having trouble managing his anger with Landon gone (Landon left the school after what happened that night) and everything that was going on and he took it out on me. I accepted his apology but then a football came flying in my window and was about to hit me so Raphael pushed me out of the way but I accidentally grabbed on to him so he fell on my bed with me. Just then Penelope walked in.
"Get the hell off her!" oh no
Raphael walked out
"Wait Penny it's not what it looks like" I tried to explain but she already left out the door.
I screwed up so bad. I just got her back and now I lost her again. I can't loose her.
I got up and walked to her dorm nocking a few times. When she didn't answer I tried opening the door but she must have spelled the door so I couldn't open it. I sighed and tried to talk to her through the door.
"Penny please let me explain" I croaked
"I promise it's not what it looked like he was just trying to apologize and then a football came through my window and he pushed me so it wouldn't hit me but I accidentally pulled him with me and then you walked in" still no response
"Please Penelope I love you" I sobbed
she still didn't answer so I sighed and went back to my room to cry

Penelope's pov

I went back to my dorm after I saw Josie cheat on me. How could she? After everything we've been through how could she do that to me? I spelled my door so no one could get in. I cried until I couldn't cry anymore and then I just shook. I felt so broken and like i'd never get over this. Over her.

I stayed in my room for 3 days and didn't move. I didn't eat, shower, sleep, or answer my door. On the fourth day I finally decided to go take a shower and change my clothes. After I got myself somewhat ready I went out of my room to go grab some food, praying I wouldn't see Josie.

I bumped into Mr. Salzman on the way back
"Oh Penelope I'm glad I found you! I need you to go on a mission with me and some other students" he said
You have got to be kidding me
"Do I have to?" I asked my voice hoarse from not talking for so long
"Yes, I'm sorry Penelope but it's important and your skills are needed" he said
I just nodded
"We're leaving in 30 so be ready and pack some clothes it might be a long trip" I sighed after he said that and walked off to go pack hoping Josie wasn't going

I met everyone at the entrance and just my luck Josie was there. She looked at me with sad eyes but didn't try to talk to me. Then I spotted Jed. Thank god
"Hey" I said walking up to him smiling
"Hey loser! My god what happened to you?" he asked looking at me
"Josie" I simply said
He gave me a sympathetic look and pulled me in for a hug
Jed and I have always been close. We grew up in foster care together so we kind of have always stuck together. Anyways i'm glad he's going on this trip so I have someone to talk to and distract me from the fact that Josie is here as well.

We were all on the bus or well van I guess but Jed and I were sitting together and chatting. It was a long trip so I fell asleep on Jed's shoulder and he put his arm around me. This may seem weird to other people but Jed is basically my brother and there's nothing more to it. No feelings or anything even if it may look that way.
Jed woke me up when we were pulling up to a hotel. I guess we had to stay at one since the trip was so far. Mr. Saltzman said he would be assigning us rooms. Great he probably doesn't know about Josie and I.
"Okay Kaleb and MG, Hope and Lizzie, Jed your with me, and finally Penelope and Josie" he looked up and smiled at everyone as we all started to walk to our rooms. Just my luck right ?
I walked toward the elevator because I was far too exhausted to walk up all those stairs. Josie followed me to which I rolled my eyes at. We got into the elevator and it was quiet until she started talking
"So you and Jed huh" she asked
I groaned and didn't answer because I didn't want to talk to her
"I always knew I wasn't good enough for you" she mumbled under her breath
I rolled my eyes and stopped the elevator by pressing the button.
"Are you fucking kidding me Josie? We're technically still together so no nothing is going on with me and Jed. He's like my brother and I'm not the one that cheated" I yelled harshly
"If you would have let me explain before walking out and not coming out of your room for three days you would have seen that it was not what it looked like" she yelled back
"Then what the fuck was it Josie?" I yelled again
"A football came in my window and was about to hit me! Raphael pushed me out of the way so it wouldn't and I accidentally grabbed on to him so he fell on the bed with me. Then you walked in!" she yelled back
I stood silent for a minute just thinking. There was a football by her shelf that knocked somethings over that I saw and I know Josie would never actually cheat on me.
"I'm sorry" I said softly taking her hand.
She looked up at me with hurt in her eyes.
"I can't believe you actually thought..." she trailed off
"I know I know i'm so sorry it's just what it looked like. I should have listen to you Jojo. I'm so sorry" I said putting my hands on her cheeks.
"It's okay Pen, I get how it looked" she sighed
"I was so worried about you. You stayed in your room and wouldn't come out. I sat by your door until curfew everyday hoping you would come out but you never did. I was so scared you did something to yourself" a tear ran down her face
"Hey hey I'm okay Jo. I was just upset but i'm okay now I promise" I said wiping the stray tear from her cheek. She smiled at me and came in for a hug. We stayed like that for a while until she pulled back.
"We should go to the room, you look like you need sleep" she said softly
"Only if we get to cuddle" I smiled
"Duh" she laughed like that was silly of me to ask
"Naked" I smirked
"Done" she said pressing the button for the elevator to start moving again
