what happened that night

Hope's pov

Lizzie and Josie were drunk off their asses so we decided to take them home. When we got home I took Lizzie to my room while Penelope took care of Josie. I carefully brought Lizzie to the bathroom and set her on the counter so I could stand in between her legs to take her makeup off.
"Hopeyyy" Lizzie whined
"Yes mamas?" I wrapped my arms around her waist and looked at her while she wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Where's Josie" she slurred
"Jo is with Penelope" I smiled back
"Penelope better treat her good we don't need what happened last time Josie was drunk to happen again or I'll beat her ass" Lizzie giggled
I furrowed my eyebrows because I have no clue what she's talking about
"Lizzie what do you mean" I asked her worried
"Landon" is all she said
I don't know what she's talking about. Did Landon do something to her?
"What happened and does Penelope know?" I asked her and she just shook her head.
"They were broken up and Jo didn't wanna worry her" Lizzie said looking me in the eyes
"Come on Liz, let's go to bed so we can talk about this in the morning" I said lifting her off the counter and carrying her to my bed.
She laid down and reached her arms out to me.
I smiled and laid down next to her, wrapping my arms around her and kissing her goodnight.
Lizzie fell asleep but I stayed up thinking about what could have happened between Josie and Landon. If I find out he laid a finger on Josie he's going to be in a world of pain. Josie is like a sister to me and my best friend. I just don't know why she wouldn't tell Penelope.

Josie's pov

I woke up in the morning with the worst headache. I looked up and Penelope was already awake playing with my hair.
"Good morning Penny" I smiled up at her
"Good morning Jojo" She smiled back and kissed my forehead.
I went to get out of bed to get some motrin for us but Penelope pulled me back down on top of her and wrapped her arms around me. I started giggling
"Penny I was going to go get some pain meds for us" I laughed
"Noo five more minutes, I wanna cuddle my baby" Penelope whined
"What a softie" I teased pecking her lips
She gasped "I am not" she pouted
"Five more minutes I wanna cuddle" I mimicked her while laughing
"Stop making fun of me" she whined
"I'm sorry baby" I giggled caressing her cheek

Eventually we got up to go get some medicine and met Hope and Lizzie in the kitchen
"Jo, can I talk to you for a minute?" Hope asked
"Yeah sure" I said nervously and walked with Hope out of the kitchen and into Hope's room.
She closed the door and lead me to the bed to sit down. This must me serious and it's freaking me out.
"Josie, Lizzie said something last night and it made me kind of scared" Hope started to say and grabbed my hand.
"She said something about how she doesn't want a repeat of what happened last time you were drunk and then something about Landon and that Penelope doesn't know" Hope said with worry in her eyes
I froze, I hadn't thought about it in a while and I tried to forget that night.
"Jo you know you can talk to me about anything right? I'm here for you" Hope said scooting closer to me.
Tears started to well up in my eyes.
"Hey hey Jo you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I just wanted to make sure you were okay" Hope said reassuringly putting her arms around me.
"I was at a party" I began
"I got pretty drunk but still sober enough to know what I was doing. Landon found me and acted like he was my friend and cared about my well being" I shed some more tears
"H-he offered to walk me back to my dorm. I thought he was just being nice but when we got there h-he pushed m-me down on the bed" I stuttered
Hopes grip around me got a little tighter
"And h-he started to forcefully kiss me. I told him to s-stop but he didn't listen. He was too strong to push off. He took my clothes off and h-he r-raped me" I started to shake and cry.
"Hope I've been trying to forget and move on. Penelope doesn't know because we were broken up and I didn't want to bother her. Lizzie only knows because she found us while it was happening it and stopped him. I made her swear not to tell anyone" I sobbed
"Oh Josie" Hope said tearing up and pulling me into a big hug.
"I'm right here Jo. I'm here for you and Penelope will be too if you decide to tell her. I will beat his ass for what he did. He will pay" Hope growled
Hope and I sat there for a few more minutes and just hugged while I sobbed into her shoulder.

Penelope's pov

Hope and Josie had been talking for a while and I started to get a little worried. Lizzie kept on side eyeing me and I was about to ask her what her problem was but then Hope came into the kitchen with a sobbing Josie behind her. I quickly ran up to her and brought her into my embrace. I gave Hope a look and she looked away. I automaticity thought Josie was crying because of something Hope said and I saw red.
"What the fuck did you say to her Mikaelson" I growl angrily
Hope just looked up at me with sad eyes and looked away
"Penny she didn't say anything" Josie choked out
I looked down at her and saw her puffy eyes and the tears falling down her face and pulled her closer to me kissing her head.
"I love you. I love you. I love you" I whispered to her over and over again.
She pulled back and looked at me and then pulled me towards the stairs
"I have to talk to you about something" she hiccuped
