"Oh my gods..." I said so quietly I almost whispered, "Brookes... of course! How could I be so dumb! Audra Brookes!"
"Um, what?" Neil said, "Is there something you need to tell us?"
"Yeah, but you won't believe it."
"We're had a lot of those moments lately."
"Okay, okay," I took a deep breath, and explained my sighting of the girl. Neil went paler with every word. I swear he'd faint soon.
"R-Roxy!" Was all he said.
Good lord, I felt even more stupider. It was Roxy! The girl was Roxy! And she had Audra? What was that supposed to mean? Why did she want me to come with her?
"I'm surprised you aren't ranting," Ari joked, but he looked almost as scared. So was I. Many questions flooded my brain again, distracting me.
"Earth to Bug Wings!" Ari called, snapping me out again, "Don't leave us!"
"Sorry."
"So... now what?"
"Well, the snow's clearing up, but my brain isn't. So... no clue. Keep going to the Nexussili Mountains? My so-called Dad did say we'd find our friend, so maybe he meant both of them?"
The boys nodded. I looked up at the sun, trying to measure it. I groaned.
"What?" Neil asked.
"Northwest is that way, we were going the wrong direction the entire freaking time!" I explained.
The other two also groaned.
"Well, at least me know now?" I said, "So let's keep going we're we should've been."
We started the right direction, leaving the town behind. See ya later, suckers! No trapping us!
"Am I the only one who was actually kind of scared in that place?" Neil asked, almost reading my thoughts.
"Yeah, me too. I found out what it feels to be autophobic,"
"Is that like, a fear of cars? There weren't any cars in there," Neil asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No, doofus. It's a fear of being alone and isolated." I explained with a giggle.
"Oh. What's the fear of snakes?"
"Ophidiophibia."
"Oh-fiddy what now? Ow- fiddy- o- fowbee- uh?"
I almost fell out of the sky I was laughing to hard, "Here, I'll help. Oh"
"Oh"
"Phidi"
"Phidi"
"Oh"
"Oh"
"Phobia"
"Phobia"
"There you go!"
"Oh fidi oh phobe eeuh?"
"Pretty good," Note to self: no big kid words around Neil.
"Awe, you two are so cute!" Ari said jokingly. Neil's face flushed like a strawberry and shot Ari a look that said dude?! I flew in front of Ari, and stopped him.
I stared angrily into his eyes, it would've looked like I was yelling at him telepathically. I waited until he wouldn't expect anything, and then I slapped him upside the head.
"Ow!" He tried to get back at me, and I dodged skillfully. These wings are actually pretty good for zipping around. We did it a few more times, and then stopped when Neil intercepted us.
