The Opening of the Door

“A human?” The pink fish asked. “Are you telling me that humans got past the summoning circle?”

            “Yes.”

“Then… Are there humans on top of me right now?”

“Yes. But that isn’t important right now. Now, start, Gamod.” The girl with horns, known as “Ruby” or whatever, spoke with crossed arms.

“But… there’re humans on top of me… IT FEELS BAD!” The pink fish instantly tilted and we all fell off of it.

The man and Ruby held annoyed looks on their faces as we all were falling. That was when the man glowed gold magic around him. “See ya,” he said to Rood, completely ignoring my presence. Ruby jumped onto him as they both got back on onto the fish.

I glanced at Rood as we both fell. He opened his lips and shouted, “My name is… [Blow]!” Black magic swarmed around him. “[Awaken]!” His magic suddenly disappeared. He looked back with much confusion and our eyes were wide.

            Uh-oh.

Weird purple magic from the strange barrier went berserk. It pushed Rood away from me by the magic and I fell faster. I was suddenly hidden by the magic as I fell. I wasn’t sure why. It felt as though the barrier was trying to get rid of me…

Whatever the matter, Rood was about to hit the top of the school. Until he was about to hit it, someone grabbed him and tried to land, but both fell through the roof into the building. Seeing the red… I knew it was Shicmuon of the Association. But why would he save Rood? Weren’t they enemies?

I fell into the trees and groaned in pain. That freaking hurt… Well, my priorities were to protect the students and find Celestial. I could have probably stopped the threats at the same time... but the Tower’s Magicians were there. They could have done something. Probably.

I touched my necklace and it glowed. “Hello?”

“Ezekiel?” Celestial’s voice came out of the necklace. “Something wrong?” she asked. I heard her footsteps. That must have meant that she wasn’t in any trouble.

“No. I’m checking up on you. Are you okay?”

“Yeah. But, I feel that something is going to appear… several of them, as well. I think they’ll be demons… I don’t know. I feel the presence of a summoning circle. Most likely demons, I believe. I’m roaming the school. I heard a crash but I’d figured you be there. Are you?”

“Well I’m pretty darn close. Shicmuon saved Rood. Crazy, right? Rood and I fell. There was this man and we were teleported onto this pink fish and it talked and there was this girl with horns… Anyways, the fish seemed to hate humans. It threw Rood and I off. It threw the girl and man, too, but they managed to save themselves. Rood and Shicmuon fell through the building and I landed into the trees.”

“Okay, you’re dreaming. I’m just kidding. That’s just terrifying right there. Oh, I think you oughta go now. Seems like I hear Shicmuon yelling.”

I walked out, away from the trees. I peered into one of the windows of the school. And like Celestial said, Shicmuon was yelling at Rood. “Okay. Talk to you later,” I said.
