When Worlds Meet (A Shadowhunters and Harry Potter Crossover)

Jaime POV

I'm walking with Jace and Alec to see our head of Institute Hodge because he sent us a fire message saying he had important information on a relative mine. I've always been curious because when I was two my parents died, I vaguely remember a few people always around but not much. Just as I was trying to recall memories Alec said "are you nervous or excited?" Breaking me out of my thoughts.

Alec POV

As we were walking to meet Hodge I notice Jaime start to zone out and have a glazed look in her eye, that always concerned me because when she moved in with my family when we were ten that look almost always resulted in a panic attack. Mom said it may be due to old subconscious memories. I'm excited for her to finnaly get information on her father's side of the family. I decide to snap her out of her thoughts by asking her if she was nervous or excited.

Jaime POV

I look up suddenly to answer Alec's question with a quick "more like I'm curious." As we entered Hodge's office I notice a old man with blue eyes, a white beard, and half moon spectacles in funny looking clothes sitting in a chair talking to our head of Institute. When they notice us they look up and give a half smile before we can say anything Jace blurts a sarcastic comment.

Jace POV

As we walk into the office I see this old dude with a cool looking beard and funky clothes so me being me said "Gandolf what are you doing here!"

Jaime POV

As soon as Jace said that Alec elbowed him in the side. But to our surprise the old man just laughed and introduced himself as Albus Dumbledore headmaster of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardery. The three of us smile at him but before we can speak Hodge beats us to it.

Hodge POV

After Dumbledore introduces himself I jump in by introducing my two students and Jaime, she was never my student due to her bring trained fully before I arrived here. I introduce them in the order they are standing in, Alec Lightwood, Jace Herondale, and Jaime Van Patten Potter.

Jaime POV

As soon as Hodge is done talking I tell Mr.Dumbledore that it is nice to meet him. After the pleasantries are over Dumbledore looks at me and asks if I would like to know about my father and where he comes from so of course I said yes.

3rd POV

So as it turns out Jamie's father Nathan was a wizard in London who had a twin brother named James. He was a student at Hogwarts and one of the best in his year. After school he decided to travel to the states where he met Jemma and fell for her, shortly after they had Jaime. She also had a uncle James, aunt Lily and a cousin Harry who is currently two years younger than herself, along with a Godfather named Remus Lupin. After hearing the prophecy and what had become of her family she immediately wantes to go see Harry after hearing how close the two of them were.

Jaime POV

Wow just wow is all I can think of when Dumbledore finnishes telling us my family's story. Things make a little more sense now of why I remeber certain people even though its vague. So my dreams of flashes of colorful light and funny words and the clinks of swords were actually memories of when I was a lot younger. Immediately I ask if I can go and see Harry.

Dumbledore POV

When Jaime asks if see can go see Harry I tell her yes and also explain to her how she and her friends can help in our war effort and will be inducted into the order.  I can see the excitment on the childs face and only hope that I didn't make a mistake by not telling her everything, only time will tell I'm afraid.
