Y/n made her way down to breakfast the next day, feeling proud of herself for what she did last night. And for wriggling her way out of a detention that would probably require her sorting books in the library for hours on end.

While she was walking, she crashed into someone, send both of them onto the floor.

"Tom, I swear to fu-" she was surprised to see that it wasn't Tom this time, but a decently tall black haired girl whose long hair was sprawled over her shoulders.

"Oh!" Y/n gasped. "I'm sorry!" She scrambled to help the girl with the her books and parchment that had been sent awry.

"It's alright." The girl sounded irritated as she stood and brushed off her robes. "Accidents happen, I suppose." She took the things y/n was holding out for her.

Y/n glanced her over, noting the red and good on her uniform.
"You're a Gryffindor." Y/n stated dumbly.

"Yes, I'm aware of that." The girl clicked her tongue, growing increasingly more annoyed at y/n.

"I'm sorry, but I feel like I know you." Y/n peered at her, leaning closer to examine the younger girl.

"I can assure you, we do not know each other." Scowling, she shifts her books around.

I'd never forget someone as irritating as this girl no matter how hard I tried.

"Oh, well, I'm y/n l/n." Y/n gave a toothy, lopsided grin. "What's your name?"

"Minerva McGonagall, now if you'll excuse me." Y/n's gaped as the girl brushed by and continued walking towards the great hall ahead of her.

No freaking way! Minnie didn't mention being in the school while Tom was!

Y/n rushed forward attempting to catch up with her but was halted by someone saying her name from behind her.

"L/n." It was Tom, much to her dismay. Turning, y/n watched as the pale skinned boy made his was over to her. He was alone, surprisingly, not being followed by his posse was a rare sight for her.

"Heya Tommy!" She teased, grinning cheekily up at him. "Watcha doin'?"
Tom scowled at her, straightening himself up more, if that were possible.

"Do not call me 'Tommy'." He demanded. "But I do believe I need to set you a detention." He smirked, watching as her face fell.

"Fuck me!" She groaned loudly, slouching in defeat. "Don't be like that, Tom!"
A lot of people were looking at her in shock for her language, but no one said anything and continued on their way.
"Let me off, just this once?" She gave him puppy dog eyes, to witch he scoffed.

"There's only one way I'll let you off the hook." He smirked, watching  as y/n gave him a look, as if to say 'well go on then'.

Stepping forward, he leans down to whisper.
"Accompany me to Hogsmeade and answer any questions I may ask." He stop up straight again, watching as she looked about thoughtfully, biting her lip in concentration.

It gave him butterflies, the way her face scrunched up when she was thinking hard about something.

"Fine!" She said suddenly. "But only for three hours." She held up three fingers. "I would like some time to myself, so fit in all questions with the three hours."

Tom smirked, played that it didn't take much convincing for the answer he wanted.
"That's alright with me." He started walking past her again. "See you on Saturday morning, 9am sharp."
