"What are we doing here, Tobio?" You walked beside Kageyama, he didn't tell you where he's taking you before, "There's a lot of children." Today, after school, he pulled you to follow him. Saying things like you wouldn't make it in time if not hurry.
"Tch, the club is over for today." You tilted your head and looked around once more. When you were still on junior high, you used to come here to accompany someone, "I am going inside, do you want to follow me or...?"
"I need to arrange the stats for the next camp." His question was catching you off guard. You really want to follow him, but you were afraid that you couldn't split your time equally between schools and the club.
That, and the other reason, "I will wait at that little cafe, okay? Record some match if there's still any!" You shouted before leaving him.
Kageyama let out a sigh before continuing his walk; his mind wandered elsewhere. He didn't notice a child run towards him. He looked down to the boy with his usually stoic face. The boy couldn't help but cried.
He deadpanned and just stared at the little boy. Why am I standing here now?
"Tooru! Teach me to serve, will you?" He flinched when he heard the familiar name being called by another child that walked to his way. He turned his head and found none others than Oikawa Tooru.
"O-Oikawa-san." Oikawa looked at his kouhai while tried to give him a menacing glare. Yes, emphasise on trying, "What are you doing here?"
"Watching my nephew." The brown-haired setter tilted his head up, "He has a match today." He walked past Kageyama with his nephew hot on his trail.
"Oikawa-san! Please hear me out! I am begging you!" Oikawa stopped to take a look at him. Kageyama bowed down; he couldn't help but give in.
"Alright. But don't move yet!" A sound of captured photo could be heard, "Okay, now asked away. I am busy."
"Aren't you said that you have a lot of free time since your girlfriend just dumped you?" Oikawa's nephew, Takeru, exclaimed bluntly. Kageyama jolted a little and straightened his body.
Kageyama knew how his manager loves the boy in front of him. Is this possibly the reason why you never mentioned the Grand King anymore?
"Does... (Y/n) dumped you?" He asked without thinking. Oikawa flinched at the mention of your name. His smug expression gone for a split second, replaced by a remorse look in his brown eyes.
"Woah! You know (Y/n)-san?!" Takeru asked cheerfully, Kageyama nodded at his question, "She's so much better than the girl who dumped you, Tooru! It must be karma since you dumped (Y/n)-san!" Kageyama eyes widened at the new information that he retrieved.
"Silence, Takeru." Oikawa voice changed in a split second. His brown eyes darted to Kageyama, "To answer your question. I am the one who dumped her." Oikawa-san and (Y/n) couldn't even survive a day without each other call, what happened? "I know you are not going to talk here about my love life. Now hurry, what do you want?"
Not far from there, you sat with a cup of tea on the table. Your eyes were getting tired after days trying to collect as much new data as you can. The camp with Fukurodani and Nekoma is near, and you need to do your work before that.
Much like Kageyama and Hinata, the whole team wanted to develop their skills. One person that still out of your grasp was just the middle blocker, Tsukishima Kei. He got talent, but somehow he didn't want to work hard for more. It's like the passion in this sport has dimmed.
Your eyes unconsciously darted to where Kageyama stood. Anything couldn't make you prepare for the sight. There, you saw the familiar goofy child in front of Kageyama. But the guy beside him is the reason why your heart almost stopped.
