-Authors Note-

Not the turning point you all probably hoped for given how the last chapter ended, but we're getting there!

Enjoy, my lovelies!

Poly? Isn't that...

Before I get the chance to hear Stefans response or think more about it, I have Revons body clinging to me, causing all of my attention to focus on him.

"Sweetheart?" I ask, trying to pull back to look at him properly but it only causes him to cling to me tightly, his face being pressed further into my shoulder.

All I can do is stand there and hold him, and try to coax him out to talk to me but it proves useless when he tightens his hold again and shakes his head.

"Everything ok?" Looking up, I spot Summer standing in the doorway of the kitchen with a worried look on her face. Her eyes don't leave Revon and that's when I realise that she can see his face from her position.

"Yes, um... look, it's a bad time, maybe if you all came by later or-" I start, but she interrupts me with a scoff.

"Not leaving." She states firmly, causing me to glare at her. This only causes her to send me a glare to match my own. "Try me, I dare you."

"Summer, seriously, it's not the time."

"Does it look like I care? Take him to your room, talk, get gay, whatever will cheer him up. I'm not leaving." I open my mouth to argue back but when I notice an odd look that I haven't seen in a long time cover her features, one of vulnerability, I stay silent.

"I'll make you soup, Revon. Soup always helps."

"No, don't you dare you witch-"

"Oh pish-posh. I'm not going poison him. He's too cute. You on the other hand... I'll make a special batch just for you, my daring brother." She smiles happily when I glare at her but Revons small giggle draws my attention back to him, that I don't even notice when Summer disappears back into the kitchen.

"She loves you." His words are soft although I can feel the smile of his lips against my shoulder, I also hear the tremble in his voice. He's been crying.

Without a second thought, I walk in the direction of my room and close the door behind us, along with locking it, knowing how nosey my current home intruders can be.

Once I've sat down on the bed, Revon backs up a little bit but climbs into my lap when I open my arms for him.

He tries to press his face into my neck again but I hold him back so I can stay looking at his face. I now get to see the redness of his eyes and the dried tears on his cheeks.

"Talk to me, Sweetheart. Please."

His lips tremble again but relaxes slightly when I reach out to wipe under his eyes.

"Why am I such an emotional mess? I'm pathetic, I'm-" he cut him off with a quick kiss, but pull back just as fast. His cheeks flush a deep red and tears start to cause his eyes to turn glossy again.

"You're not pathetic. You're healing. From what, I don't know, but I can see how much you've grown in the short time that I've known you. Now, tell me what has you crying, Sweetheart."

No words are spoken for a solid minute but that's ok, I continue stare at him as softly as my broken, emotionless face can, and wait.
