Promises

" Good morning Joe", said a man's voice on the phone
   "Any news I should know", asked Joe standing in her office
  " She's got a job", said the man and there was no reply at the other end of the call
   "Joe are you still there", asked the man
"Just keep me informed", said Joe as she hung up immediately cleaning the tears rolling down her face
   I'm sorry Treasure , your mom is still weak
" Darling ", said Raymond hugging his wife from behind
      This brought her back as she tried her best to smile
     "How was your day", asked Joe smiling
"It was terrible without you ", said Raymond as he held her close to him
     "Really ", said Joe smiling as she turned to face him.
    He was all she could ever want but her one mistake could ruin their lives, she did the right thing,she kept telling herself, here was the man of her dreams and the other a nightmare.

Cinthia's POV
"Am I going to get fired", I asked as I looked at the man before me dressed in a black suit  , his black hair looked like he just got out of shower and his grey eyes staring right at me made me feel intimidated , I wanted to look anywhere else but him at the moment but his Greek god appearance made me drool in front of him.
   Wait he's my boss
"Miss Harrison ,it isn't right to ogle at your boss", he said as he looked at me
      "Boss, boss",I asked confused
How can you be my boss, you should be a model sir
   "Who do you think I was Miss Harrison", he asked
   "I'm sorry sir, I won't be late again", I said immediately
   "I hope so, that's your office and that's mine , I expect you to be in my office by 10 am , Judy will put you through all the things you need to know", he said then he left me alone
     "Hi, you must be the new assistant, I'm Judy", said a blondegirl in a pencil skirt
Well isn't everyone here a model
  "Hi, my name is Cinthia", I replied smiling
"In the past week, six assistants were hired and fired, please don't join the queue ,Mr Richard is not in favor of chances ,you mess up you get fired ", said Judy
   "Wow, I'm not sure I would love that",I replied
    "Good choice so let's get you ready, come on ", said Judy as she explained most of what I was to do as an assistant
       "Thanks", I said as Judy turned to leave
  "You welcome, I will see you at lunch", said Judy smiling then she left
     Okay so maybe I've gotten a new friend
"Miss Harrison", said my boss on the telephone
     "Yes sir ", I said
"Do you need a special invitation to get to my office now it's 10:01 am already", said my boss
        Maybe today isn't just my day or maybe time and I aren't close friends as I thought anymore
  "Are you coming or should I bring a chariot", my boss asked
   "I'm coming sir", I said as I hurriedly went to his office.
     "Come in ", said my boss as he sat behind a desk scrutinizing me
Maybe I'm going to get fired after all

Adrian's POV
"Adrian you never told me about your parents, you hardly ever talk about them",said Claire
      "That's because there are always other important things to talk about beside them ", I said as I kissed her forehead
     "Do you want to talk about it especially now that I'm going to be meeting them for the first time and we are just some distance away from their doorstep" , said Claire
       "I can't tell you much , just know that I have a father , mother and two siblings ", I said
      "Don't be ridiculous , you know that isn't what I want to know , why can't you tell me , why are you hiding this from me", asked Claire
       "If I truly want to hide things from you ,why would I bring you to a place where my family lives",I  said
     "If that's the case then please tell me the truth", said Claire
      "Why don't I just show you instead ",I said staring at the house where I had spent my entire childhood,each laughter,cries, tears and pain was done in this house
     "Wow", said  Claire staring at the house
    "Welcome to my humble abode", I sighed hoping I wouldn't regret it.
