End of Episode

The heavy silence in the room spoke in volumes as Cinthia shifted on her seat.

   "So I called you both here so we can talk on when you are getting married",said Kate smiling

  It's been two days now since Cinthia's family left the Andersons, Claire left Adrian and Richard left his home and within those two days, Cinthia and Adrianna had been best of friends.

    It was a shocking moment for Kate and Adrianna to woke up the next day and find Richard gone, it was so hard to believe that Richard could really leave them at a time like this, unlike before when they survived the storms as a family but who knows when everything would go back to normal for the sad family.

   "Mom",Adrian said in great frustration as he felt unnecessarily pushed to do something he didn't want to do.

  "Yes Adrian, you were saying something",said Kate with a tight smile daring him to question her doings.

   "Not anymore",said Adrian looking down

"So as I was saying, why not get you both married in three days time after all it's meant to be done soon",said Kate smiling

    Cinthia lost her voice, she was still recovering from the terrible flu she had caught and not to forget Richard being away also added more to her problems.

    All what she had gone through left her relationship with God dry and farther as she couldn't help but to start solving her problems by herself if God wasn't going to do anything about it.

    Why was her life so terrible, she was adopted and now forced to marry a man she obviously hate, she was tired of everything going on around her, she didn't plan any of the things happening in her life, why was her life like this .

   A lonely tear escaped her eyes before she gasped apologetically before running out of the study .

      "Well mom, as you can see, she doesn't want to marry me",said Adrian silently before scoffing.

    "Has she said that ",asked Kate looking at her 24 year old son who had no idea how to win a woman's heart.

    "This charade mom, it isn't going to work, I don't see why I should still Marry her after all you only wanted us to get married in order to save her dad's crumbling business, you wanted it that way",said Adrian

   "Now that you are aware of this, do you still believe we are just getting you two married because of some business, no Adrian it's because God wants you to be together",said Kate

   "Oh not you two, mom I don't believe in 'God', if truly He exists I don't need Him in my life nor do I need to abide by His rules, all I want right now mom is not getting married to any woman, I'm done with women, after all I had gone through in the cunning hands of one, I don't think I would be foolish to go through the same again, I don't want to get married to Cinthia",said Adrian

    "Son, you can not continue to leave your life outside God's will and plans for you, can you not see that God is great and evident in all areas of our lives",said Kate

   "No mom, enough with this talk, there's absolutely nothing you say that would make me believe in God not now not ever, I hope we don't have this conversation ever again cos I can not waste time talking about some illusions you and Dad believe in, and mom I don't want to get married",said Adrian as he stood up to leave.

    "Your dad's dying wish for you is to marry her, are you really going to dishonour his wish",said Kate silently

  Adrian clenched his fist before turning to look at his mom.
