The Heirs

Open up the gate

  " It's been done sir ", said a man on the phone ,standing across the road behind a building as he watched the accident which many gathered looking at.

     There was a dead silence on the other side of the phone and this made shivers run down the man's spine as the hair at the back of his neck stood up

     "Hmmm", said the person at the other end of the phone then the call was disconnected.

        Then the man left the scene

Cinthia
      The breeze  got stronger dragging my kite from my hand

      "Cinthia, don't go over  there darling", said my mum while I chased after my kite
   There was a nice atmosphere at the park with many kids my age running about while most were seen with their parents.

     Then the wind caught my kite raising it up in the air

     I ran back to where my mum was. Then I pulled her by her blouse, "Mummy, my kite, mummy my kite", I said

        Then she knelt down before me  "Sweetie I will get you another one okay", said my mum

     I shook my head  pouting. "But daddy made it for me, I want that one",

     "Cinthia I will ask your daddy to make you another one once we get home alright", she said

      "Okay", I sighed looking away

   The other kids were playing with their kites while my mum was helping a girl around my age with hers.

      Then I ran away to look for my lost kite, I wanted it back.

    A lady came to me holding my kite  "Excuse me, is this yours",

     "Yes,yes", I said nodding my head smiling

  "Here, have it",she said

  Then I collected it from her  "Thank you auntie", I said

         "You welcome", she said

    She helped me with my kite and watched me play with it, she kept smiling at me and told me her name - Joe
     
          The noise around me brought me to open my eyes so I could tell them to shut up.

       "She's awake", said a male voice

    "Cinthia,dear can you hear me", said a female voice,a voice I would never forget
it's my mum's

     "Mum", I said opening my eyes turning to look at her

      Wait,where am I

   "You almost drowned, Cinthia", said my mum as she held my hand

     Then it all suddenly came back to me ,the party, leaving it to find Richard at the pool then my argument with him and lastly I fell into the pool but how did I get out.

      "Cinthia, are you listening to me, I asked you how did you get into the pool despite knowing you couldn't swim", said my mum.

     "I fell in , I'm sorry I caused you all to be worried but how did I get out", I asked.

      "Adrian saved you ", said my mum as she sniffled.

  He is the least person I could ever expect to save my life especially when he's always occupied with his girlfriend, okay maybe Richard is the last person to expect that from
