Chapter 8- I Always Thought I Hated Him...

When I was eight....
"Tom? Do you think the world will end one day?" Tord asked, sitting on my bed "No, I mean maybe, but right now? no... why are you asking?" "Its just... you know that eventually your gonna die, well what if it's the same with the world. What if it's days are numbered too? What if the apocalypse actually happens? What if when its the end, and the apocalypse happens, would it be like the movies? Would the air turn toxic? Would zombies actually happen? Would they eat people? Or would everyone be killing each other or commit all these crimes?-" "Tord" I held my friend's hand. "I can promise you now, the end of the world isn't happening anytime soon... maybe in the future when everyone's finally managed to kill the world with their rubbish, but its not going to happen" Tord looked away, thinking. "What if we're in two different places when it happens?" Tord asked, looking into my black void eyes, I hugged him as he hugged me back "Then I one hundred percent know that I'll go to you or you'll come to me, we're friends after all and we'll be able to survive the worst together"....
(Tom's POV)
The herd is still outside, but no longer banging on the door... locked in the nurse's office at a highschool... I hope Patryck and that girl are okay. I looked back at Tord, who was holding his chest as blood came through his shirt "You alright?" "Y-yeah..." Tord weakly answered, I walked over to him "Liar" I forced him to sit down on a little hospital bed, pulling his shirt over his head and throwing it on the ground. I paused, Tord has bandages wrapped around his right arm, his chest and half his neck, the bandages around his chest ripped and soaked in blood. I went to take the bandages off but Tord moved away from me "Tord, your hurt and bleeding, if I don't treat it, it will get infected and that's all it takes to become one of those things outside" Tord hesitated for a moment, then moved closer to me "F-fine". I took off the bandages around his arm, chest and neck to be met with a whole scene of scars... are these from the explosion? I turned my attention to the cut on Tord's chest, still bleeding a bit. I walked over to the sink and wet some cloth, walking back to Tord and sat down on the bed in front of of him "It might hurt a bit" I warned before I started to clean the wound, Tord flinching a bit. I couldn't help staring at Tord's body, even though he was a bit curvy, but he still had a bit of mussel as well, its not like this is the first time I've seen Tord without a shirt, there was times in PE at highschool and times we went swimming with Edd and Matt, but right now I was actually focusing all my attention on his body- my fucking god! I'm in love with Tord! All the blood was off now and the wound has stopped bleeding "Do they still hurt?" I asked, pointing at the scars "Not really... do you want to touch it or something?" "You sure?" Tord nodded his head. I hesitated, hand in mid air until Tord grabbed it and placed it on his arm. It felt weird, his skin was so smooth, but had the colouring of scars marking part of his body. I moved my hand up to his shoulder and across his neck, a few fingers lightly being dragged across his throat, then moving it down to the cut on his chest. I traced a circle around the cut before I came back to my senses and took my hand away "Sorry..." there was a bit of silence until Tord broke it "How was life without me?" he asked "Don't know, kinda boring, I mean sure we rebuilt the house, but we haven't been on any adventures since..." I paused, seeing the look on Tord's face, he doesn't want to even remember that day, but "Why did you blow up the house? I mean you already had the robot" "I had to, Leader's orders 'complete the mission no matter what' " "So the 'no matter what' part was also blowing me up with the house as well-" "I didn't want to! It hurt me so much, but when you shot that harpoon at me and blew up the robot, I knew exactly how felt, but I felt something worst that day!...I felt something fall apart...I felt something break...". Tord glared into my eyes "Answer me honestly Tom.... ever thought you were in love?" Tord asked "K-kind of...you?" "Ever since I met them, but they...hate me" I didn't know what to do or say. "Ever had your first kiss?" Tord asked "No, you?" "No" Tord looked down "How did you know you were in love with them?" I asked "A few weeks after meeting them... you?" "I...I'm only realizing it now..." "Who is it?" Tord asked as I started to panic a bit "N-not until you tell me". With one swift motion, Tord grabbed my arm and pulled me closer to him "I'm in love with the man who won't tell me who he likes... I'm in love with you" Tord let go of my arm "I...I-" Just spit it out Tom! Call me names! Call me commie! Say you hate me! Say-" "I love you too" I whispered. We sat in silence, Tord totally speechless just like me. I placed a hand on Tord's cheek, looking into his silver eyes, Tord moved his gaze to my lips, leaning towards me. I closed my eyes as his lips touched mine, kissing me as he wrapped his arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around his waist, pulling Tord onto my lap, a gun firing in the background. Tord's tongue in my mouth, making the kiss deeper as I genitally laid him down on the bed, making out until the door burst open "Tord!-" a bullet flew past our heads, we pulled away and looked at the door to see Patryck and the girl "Holy crap! I'm so sorry, I thought that Tom was a zom-" "Let's get back to the car" I said, picking up my gun and walking out the door, Patryck, the girl and Tord following me outside. 

When we were out, someone whistled, I turned around to see a few teenagers standing at the top of the main school building "Next time, don't shoot a student" a girl yelled, clearly the leader of the group "Next time help instead of watching a girl be raped!" I yelled "She deserved it. It was her punishment" the group of kids disappeared from the roof top "What do they mean by that? Where'd they go?" Patryck asked "Let's not stick around to find out, back to the car"....
