New beginnings

I walked into the BigHit building stoping at the front desk. The receptionist looked at me with a smile.

"Can I help you?"

"Ummm, ya, I'm Riley Byrd here to see Lee Minho." I tapped my fingers nervously on the counter and looked around. I didn't know anyone here except for Minho of course and I was really nervous about this new job.

"Ok, one moment please." She grabbed her phone and was talking to someone for a bit then hung up. "You can go up the elevator to floor 12, he will be waiting for you there." She pointed to the elevator.

"Thank you." I bowed to her and headed to the elevator pressing floor 12. Once I got to the floor and the door opened, I saw one of my best friends.

"Riley!" I walked off the elevator and he grabbed me for a big hug right away. "It's so good to see you." He pulled away from the hug but held onto my arms. "You look good." He tone was a little more serious.

"Thank you! It's so good to see you too! Thank you so much for getting me this job. I owe you everything!"

"Hey, it wasn't hard at all. You are so talented and perfect for this position. We need someone with your creative mind and tenacity around here. Plus," he leaned towards me and lowered his voice, "it's a sausage fest in here. We need more beautiful woman like yourself." He stepped back and then winked and me. "Let's get you to our first meeting of the day so you can meet the team.

We walked down a long hallway and I took noticed of all the rooms that were there. Dance studio, music recording studio, office...so many rooms! We walked into a large conference that was pretty much full and everyone immediately turned in our direction.

"Ah, here they are!" A man at the head of the table stood up. "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to our newest addition to the team. This is Byrd Riley and she will be an assistant producer and creative director. With this new concept and album we are going to be rolling out, I thought some fresh eyes and ears would help. Riley is a talent led music producer and She comes highly recommended by Minho here. Welcome to the team Riley." He gestures towards me and everyone claps.

"Thank you so much! I am excited to be here and can't wait to get to know all of you more." I smiled nervously.

"Go ahead and have a seat you two and we will begin our meeting."

Minho and sat down in some empty chairs and listened to PD.

"We want to go with something a little different. After talking with the boys, we want to dive deeper into heartache and love. Yes, it sounds cliche, but that's what music is. It's gets you to feel things. We have a couple songs already done that some of the boys have worked on. Minho here is working on choreography for the group as well as some solo pieces. We are not going to go as over the top as we have in past. We want to stay as real as possible, relate to their fans more. Riley, we would love your creative mind as we think about concept photos and music videos in the future." I give him a nod. "You will be working closely with the boys in creating the album and recording their lines. The rest of the producers will show you around and work with you as well, but I want you to bring something new and fresh." My heart started to beat a little faster. No pressure Riley! "Yejoon will show you the recording rooms and where you will be working. All right everyone, let's make this a great album!"
