Riley POV

I got up from under the tree and just started walking. I needed more time to just think everything over and I was already soaked so it didn't matter that I was still in the rain. I had wrapped my arms around myself as I was pretty cold. I was angry at myself for letting myself get too close to someone. I knew that Jay wouldn't be able to let me go so easily, but I didn't think he would be crazy about everything. I should have known that he would find me and now Jungkook was wrapped up in this mess. While I felt bad for everything I had put him through, I was also mad at him. I can't believe he said that to me! I thought he understood the shit I had been through, but maybe I was wrong. I was walking across the park, trying to warm up my body a little, when I heard someone call my name. I turned around and saw a figure running in my direction. It was getting dark out so I couldn't see who it was until they got closer. As they got closer, I started to recognize the dark hair that was now sticking to his forward and the dark brown eyes as well. He stopped about four feet from me. He was soaked as well and his T-shirt clung to every muscle in him body. I felt so many things at once: joy from seeing him, but also hurt when I remembered the last words I heard him say before I left.

"What Jungkook?" I was angry so I'm sure he could hear it in my voice.

"I-I'm sorry for what I said. It just came out and I wanted to take it back, but then Minho..."He looked down to the ground and stepped towards me. I took a step back and he froze noticing that I didn't want him any closer. I looked around to see if anyone else was here, particularly Jay. "Is he here?" I looked right at Jungkook.

"I don't know, but you should go just in case he is. He can get really jealous." He needed to believe that I was with the guy he saw me kissing. I needed him to believe I was with Jay.

"I know everything Riley." He took another step forward, but this time I didn't move. What was he talking about. "I know that was Jay who was kissing you and I know that you have been pushing me away because of him. He is not a threat to me." He took another step forward. He wasn't that close to me, but we weren't that far apart anymore.

"Not a threat? He sent an exploding package with your name on it! He is trying to hurt you!"

"I have dealt with threats in the past. Our team knows how to handle these kinds of things."

I looked up the sky and let out a groan. I turned around and took a couple steps away, then turned again towards him. The rain started to pick up so it was hard to hear anything. I ran my hands through my dripping hair, pushing the stray pieces that were stuck to my face back. 

"You just don't get it! You don't know what he is capable of!" I was yelling at him and I could see that he was getting frustrated as well.

"Do you not trust me?"

I scoffed at his question. "This has nothing to do with trust." 

"This has EVERYTHING to do with trust! I can take care of myself and I can help you too." He got closer to me and I kept shaking my head, letting the tears fall, mixing with the cool rain drops that were on my face.

"You can't protect me Jungkook! You are an idol and you have an obligation to your fans. You can't be putting yourself in harms way. I don't understand why you keep trying to get so close to me. We barely know each other!"
