I stood in baggage claim, waiting for Han so I could go home and get ready for the trial later this afternoon. I tapped my phone against my hand as I told myself that I should at least tell Jungkook I needed to testify today, but I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep the truth from him and I still didn't know if I was ready yet.

As I paced around the airport, I heard a voice call my name from behind me. Turning around, I started laughing at the smiling girl who was walking towards me. I opened my arms and hugged Gemma, so happy to see her!

"It's so good to see you." I whispered as she squeezed me tight.

"I'm here to take you back to my place." She said as I pulled away.

"Why your place?" I asked and her smile faded.

"The press put it together, well just a couple. They know you are here for the trial and Han was worried that would bombard your apartment so he called me asking if I could help." She linked her arm in mine as we started to walk towards the exit. "And how could I say no."

As the two friends started to walk outside, I noticed out of the corner of my eye someone running towards me.

"Ms. Byrd. Ms. Byrd!"

I turned to look, but Gemma held tight to my arm and pulled me along. I knew that I needed to avoid whatever was about to happen and just get to the car.

"Is it true you are testifying today? What is your relationship with the defendant? Are you dating BTS Jungkook?"

A couple older men seemed to surround Gemma and I as we were herded towards a vehicle. Once inside, I felt like I could breath again and Gemma just started laughing.

"You are quite the popular gal these days." Gemma said and I smiled back at her.

When we reached her apartment, she had a couple outfits laid out on her bed for me to choose from. I was so thankful that even though I barely knew her, she had seemingly dropped everything to help me. I had selected an outfit and started getting dressed as Gemme sat down on the bed.

"So have things been?" She asked and I thought about how to answer her question.

"It's been a lot." I said as I pulled on the black suit pants.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked. I took a deep breath and turned towards her.

"I don't even know where to start." She remained quiet and I could see that she was letting me either continue or change the subject even. "I don't want to talk about the trial or the press. It's too frustrating and I just want it over with." I saw her nod and give me a small smile. "But Jungkook." I said and her eyes went wide.

"What about him?" She patted the spot next to her on the bed and I sat down.

"I haven't told him yet and I know I will need to, but-"

"When you are ready Riley. I don't know him that well, but I know he will be understanding." She said, placing a comforting hand on my leg.

"There's something else too." I said, biting my bottom lip. Gemma snickered at me and sat up on the bed, turning towards me.

"What is it?" She leaned forward, eager to know.

"He's...I think I'm....ugh." I groaned and buried my face in my hands, but couldn't stop smiling as I saw Jungkook's face appear in my head.

"Oh my god!" Gemma shouted and turned towards her. She had the biggest grin on her face and she grabbed my arm, shaking me. "You're in love aren't you?" She asked and I let my body fall back onto her face.
