Chapter Nine: Jealous Apple Sauce goop

"Epic!?"

Cross was pointing at a skeleton who was looking back at him, the skeleton pointed at Cross as well,

"Cross my bruh!"

Cross skipped over to Epic who was grinning at him. Nightmare, on the other hand, looked very unamused at the situation. Cross patted Epic on the shoulder, taking notice in Nightmare's feelings.

Nightmare stayed by Cross's side, Epic found that amusing. Epic then grinned at him, "Cross, who the goop guy?"

Nightmare growled at Epic's nickname and Cross just silently giggled at his behavior.

"This is my husband Epic"

Epic took surprise to that, he immediately apologized to Nightmare for his rude behavior. Nightmare took that to his advantage.

Noah skipped over to his parents with a bag in hand, he stared up at Epic, "uh- mom? Who's this guy? Dad's staring at em pretty hard-"

Epic looked down at Noah who was giving him a stare that could kill, Cross sighed, "Noah. That's Epic, he's and old friend of mine"

Noah slowly nodded and narrowed his eyes at Epic, "I have you know Mr. Epic, my parents are happily married, and if you get in the way of that happiness I have four other siblings that will willingly murder you. Plus me and one Dad."

Noah then smiled at him and skipped off. Epic was left to fear for his life while Cross scolded Noah for rude behavior.

Nightmare laughed to himself, sometimes he'll face the fact that he loves his children. A small, quiet voice piped up from next to him, Nightmare looked down and saw the small child that Geno was holding in a protective manner.

The child stared up at him, her pale eye glowed, "you didn't hear me did you?"

Nightmare was taken aback by the child's sudden use of language, he shook his head in denial, the child smirked.

"I said, that you shouldn't be jealous. Cross has a strange devotion to you, I've never seen it before...you have nothing to be worried about"

Nightmare stared down at her, she was only about 2 feet tall, "I'm pretty sure you haven't seen much"

Shino blinked at him, "I may be young in physical age but my mind soars beyond its years"

Nightmare smirked, "do your parents know your so smart?" Shino just shrugged, she then began to walk off but stopped and turned around,

"Forget we had the conversation, I'm still the 3 year old Shino that can't spell excellent"

Shino skipped away to her eldest brother. Nightmare stared as she skipped away, a sudden feeling overwhelmed him, then he forgot. He forgot the conversation with Shino, as if it never happened.

Nightmare shook his head a couple of times then decided to walk over to Cross who was still scolding Noah. Incubux looked at him and nodded, Incubux then walked off. Cross looked at Nightmare, "were you talking to that kid? The one that's Geno's?"

Nightmare stood there for a second, staring at Cross. His memory seemed fuzzy, he shook his head, "no". Cross looked at him for a couple of seconds then looked away, Cross shooed Noah away.

Noah quickly nodded and ran away, seeking asylum with his other siblings who were gathered around a television. He sat next to Moonlight who welcomed him warmly, he was surprised one of his siblings actually cared.

Sprinkle watched from afar, envying the missing feeling of love. Not the love he would get from his parents, but love from a sibling, he wanted it. He pushed the feeling aside and left the room, it's not like anyone would notice anyway.

Besides, he had someone he wanted to see.

Sprinkle turned down the hallway to the right and stopped at a door that still had a paper taped to it. He silently opened the door and found who he wanted still staring at the window. Desire turned as the door creaked open.

Desire frowned as Sprinkle entered the room, "Sprinkle.....I told you to go" Sprinkle didnt respond, he just stepped into the room and shut the door. Desire frowned even more, "why are you here? You should be in that room with all those other people without me-"

Sprinkle sat on the bed and brought his knees to his chest, "all those other people are too....loud." Desire sighed and stood up, "if I go will you go back? Plus my parents will kill me if I don't show up". Sprinkle shrugged, "I guess, but I just left I'd like to enjoy the silence for a tad bit"

Desire nodded and sat back down, he stared at Sprinkle who looked like he could pass out at any moment. Desire then looked back out the window staring down into the parking lot, there were very few cars there. Which made sense, since this was a private occasion.

Desire stared as he saw a figure enter the building, they were draped in a cloak. Desire narrowed his eyes to get a better looked at the cloaked figure, his vision then went dark.

A tap of a glass quieted the choas of the room. The beings that were in the room turned their attention to a tired skeleton in a business suit. Ink grinned as the skeleton began to talk,

"I'll make this short so I don't fall asleep." Small laughter arose as the skeleton finished his sentence, "anyways I've called you here not for questioning as I wrote about but for a different situation" murmurs filled the room, some seeming surprised, others angry.

Outer sighed, "I know this is a turn of events but due to recent discoveries we cannot put this situation aside!" Shouts were engaged, questions were asked, Outer silently groaned, "everyone please calm down! I would like to explain-" "YOU HEARD THE MAN, SHUT UP"

Geno looked pissed as he yelled out, the room became silent again, Geno nodded towards Outer who gave him a thankful look. Outer cleared his throat, "anyways, I have recieved information about a suspect that has been roaming looking for powerful creatures to abduct for an experiment, as far as we know this suspect is not associated with X."

Cross let out a relieving sigh, Nightmare patted his shoulder. The group from the lab also looked relived, though they were scared a small bit they were glad it wasnt the former enemy of theirs.

Outer sighed again and continued speaking, "so in order to catch this suspect I will be breaking you up into groups and setting a location where the suspects allies are told to be" Classic gave Outer a stack of papers. Outer then handed them to Ink, "Ink will hand papers out that have your groups on them, as well as the location. Once the paper is received find your group!"

Outer then passed out, dead asleep. Ink roamed around looking for people as the usual cluster of noise sprung up again. Ink first walked up to Blue and Dust, he handed them a paper and walked away.

Dust stared at the paper as Blue tried to look at it, "what does it say Dust?" Dust smirked and handed Blue the paper, Blue looked down at it, "so we've been stationed with Horror, Lust, Killer, and Dream? That does seem like a large group doesn't it?"

Dust laughed and patted Blue's skull, "Outer did that for a reason, larger groups are harder to attack" Blue nodded then started to walk off, pulling Dust along with him. Luckily the two found the rest of their group over in a corner, as well as their son.

Obviously I'm joking cause your ships are my ships and I'd die killing them off. Still give them love cause they deserve it! (Plus they write hella good stories I do say so myself)
