9. The Question

Felix POV:

Marzia was looking at me, confused. I started to sweat.

"I had big plans for tonight and now I..." I looked down.

"Felix tonight was perfect" Marzia kissed my cheek.

I took a deep breath and decided it was time. "Marzia, this, as I have already said, isn't how I wanted this night to go, but there is one thing that I have been WAY more nervous for"

Marzia looked at me "What is it?" She said nervously.

"Marzia" I got down on my knee.

Marzia realized what was happening. She covered her mouth, which had dropped open out of shock.

I looked up into Marzia's eyes. "I love you more than anything in the world, more than you can even imagine. You make me so happy every single day and I want to return that happiness to you."

Marzia was starting to cry.

"And..." I reached into my back pocket, pulling out the velvety, blue box that I have been hiding for the past few weeks. "I am so lucky to have you in my life. So...will you make me happier than anyone in the entire world and marry me?" I looked up at her with hopeful eyes, as I opened the box, revealing the white-tinted diamond ring.

Tears were running down Marzia's cheeks. "Yes, of course" she said, wiping away her tears.

I got up and hugged her tightly. "I love you so much" I whisper in her ear.

"I love you more" she whispered back, as we broke the hug.

I pulled out the ring and smiled at her, she smiled back, holding out her hand. I slipped the ring on to her finger then looked into her deep, brown eyes.

She cupped my face in her hands and pulled my lips to hers.

My arms wrapped around her waist as we kissed.

We stood there, kissing for a while when all of a sudden I felt Edgar jump up on my leg.

I laughed "Edgar, what are you doing?" I bent down and pet his head gently.

"He's excited too" Marzia said, bending down next to me to rub Edgar's head.

I paused to watch Marzia petting Edgar. She was so happy, I could tell because of the way she smiled. It was so real, so beautiful.

She noticed me staring. "What?" She stopped petting Edgar and stood up.

I smiled and shook my head "Nothing"
