13. Night Time

Felix POV:

Suddenly, I woke up on the couch. The TV was still on and Marzia was laying asleep in arms.

I reached for the remote and turned off the television. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 2:30 AM.

We must have fallen asleep watching TV all day.

Since I was awake, I thought I might as well get up and grab a snack.

I carefully move off the couch so I don't wake up Marzia, and walk into the kitchen.

I open the fridge, looking for something to eat. I don't really find anything so I decide just to grab a glass of water.

I grab a glass from the cupboard and walk over to the sink. As I'm filling the glass with water, a tired Marzia walks into the kitchen.

"Hey" she says yawning.

"Oh, sorry did I wake you?" I turn off the water and take a sip.

"No it's okay" she walks over to the table and sits down, she was obviously still pretty tired.

I walk over to her and offer her the glass "Want a sip?"

"No it's fine, I'm awake" As she says this, it looks like she is struggling to keep her eyes open.

"Marzia, come on. I'm not that dumb. Just take a sip"

She gives in and cups the glass in her hand. She gulps some water down and hands the glass back to me. "Mmm... thank you that was nice" She runs her fingers through her long hair to get it out of her face.

"Sure thing sweetheart" I finish off the water and take the seat across from her.

She looks at me "So what woke you up?" She asks in her sweet voice.

I shrugged "Nothing really. Just kind of woke up". I stare at Marzia. Even when she has just woken up, she looks so beautiful.

I must have been staring for a long time because I suddenly snap back to reality when I hear her calling my name. "Whoa...what?!"

"Are you okay?" She leans towards me.

"Yeah I'm fine. Why would you ask?"

She looks concerned "You just completely zoned out for a minute"

I can't help but smile "Trust me...I'm fine"

She gives me a confused smile back "Okay..."

I get up, take the few steps between Marzia and me and lightly kiss her lips.

At first, she seems unsure, then she stands up and kisses me back, wrapping her arms loosely around my neck as I hold her waist.

When we break apart I look into her eyes. "I love you, Marzia"

She smiles "I love you more"

I shake my head "Not possible" I say smiling.

She smiles back "Wanna bet?" She pulls my mouth back to hers and kisses me passionately. Her fingers tangle up into my hair.

I kiss her back, pulling her body closer to mine.

We break apart again, this time Marzia unwraps herself from me and steps back.

"I'm gonna go to bed now, I'm tired" she walks towards the bedroom.

"Alright, I'll join you in a minute"

"Okay" she walks into the room and the door swings shut.

I quickly clean up the tiny mess I made in the kitchen, then walk into the bedroom to join Marzia in bed.
