"Hey!" I call out to our friends as Seonghwa and I walk out to the beach. I can see all of them have brought several thin blankets for us to sit on, and a few snacks to eat while we hang out."Wow, thought you guys would never show up." Kay poked my side as I went to go sit down next to her. I jerked my body away from her as the feeling tickled. I know she knows that. I swat her hand away and watch as she laughs at me. Seonghwa kisses the top of my head, then whispering to me that he'll be right back. I look up at him and pout, not questioning why he might be leaving, but showing I don't want him to go. He laughs at me and pulls Jongho, Yeosang and Hongjoong to the side.
"So, Toby," San keeps me from being too curious about the situation, "are you enjoying your trip so far?"
"Yeah, I'd say so." I answer truthfully. What I wanted to say was that this trip has changed my life forever, but I doubt he cared that much and was most likely asking to ease me from getting too questionable towards whatever talk Seonghwa was having right now.
"I know we're all loving this trip, too." San replies as Kay and Julie both stand up.
"We're gonna go find seashells to bring home." They start to walk away.
"Yunho and Wooyoung like doing that too, you should bring them." The two boys are already standing up, the height difference between the two is way too noticeable.
"Let's go!" Yunho yells as he runs towards the shore. Wooyoung and the girls run after him, leaving me alone to talk to San.
"You can go, too. I'm gonna wait for Seonghwa to come back." I encourage San, grabbing a graham cracker from the options of snacks.
"No, no. I'd rather talk to you." He pats the spot next to him. I scoot closer to him and offer him the other half of the cracker. He takes it and breaks off a piece, eating the whole thing before he speaks. "You know, I'm glad Seonghwa met you. You've got to be the perfect girl." He compliments, running his fingers through his hair as he stares out into the ocean.
"Awe, thank you. I wouldn't say I'm perfect, though." I shrug, crossing my legs in front of me.
"You are, actually. I mean, perfect for him, of course. No one has made Seonghwa happier than he's been this week. Not even any of us." San gestures out to his bandmates. "It's nice to see him this way."
"Yeah..." I look over my shoulder to see Seonghwa staring at me as he listens to Yeosang and Jongho speak to him. I blush and look away, his glare being too strong for me to handle. "What about you? Why don't you have a girlfriend?" I look back at San, my question capturing his attention.
"I, um, I guess my answer is, it's hard to date with this job. We only meet so many girls that our management doesn't arrange for us to meet. And my last girlfriend, well, things got kind of messy there. But that's just between you and me." He nudges me with his shoulder, both of us laughing softly at the remark. "I'm sure someday I'll find someone as amazing as you are for myself." The statement left me speechless. San is too nice.
"I hope you find someone amazing as well." I reply after a moment of silence. At first I wasn't sure how to reply. He looks into my eyes and smiles, his dimple prominently showing. "Um, what is Seonghwa talking about? Do you know?" I attempt to show my curiosity.
"Um," right as San was about to give me an answer, two arms wrap around my waist and hoist me up off of the ground.
"Hey." Seonghwa whispers in my ear as he presses his body against mine.
"You scared me." I admit, placing my hands over his as his arms stay locked around the front of my waist.
"I'm sorry. Do you wanna come with me to feel the water?" I turn my head to look up at him, a smile plastered on his full pink lips.
