Chapter 7:
Damon's P.O.V
I was waiting by the corner of her street when I saw her emerge from the side gate. Is it just me or does she look even better than normal. Is that even possible? She slowly started walking towards me cautiously. She mustn't know it's me. I gave her a wave and she visibly relaxed. I started chuckling to myself, man she is funny.
"Hey" she chirped.
"Hey" I wasn't as enthusiastic, because of what we had to talk about. I just hope she wouldn't bite my head off.
"So what do you wanna talk to me about?" She seemed curious.
"Hop on" I gestured towards my bike that I was leaning on. I could see the excitement bubbling up inside her. I can't believe she isn't one of those types of girls that cry at the sight of a motorbike. She practically jumps at the chance to ride it.
I swung my leg over the seat and then passed her my spare helmet. She quickly put it on and hopped on behind me, putting her arms around my waist. I tried to ignore the sparks that I could feel radiating between us. Why did I always get that when she touched me? Weird.
My bike roared to life as I turned it on and I could hear Lilly squeal with excitement as her arms tightened around my waist. The heat coming from her arms were distracting as I pulled away from the curb and onto the road.
Lilly was squealing and laughing as I turned corners fast and sped down the straights of the streets. She definitely makes my day. Hang on, did I just think that? What am I a pussy? I don't think so. There is no way I am going to say that I like her, BECAUSE I DON'T! Geez... Why am I acting like this? Being caught up on this chick? I really need to stop.
After another ten minutes of driving and Lilly laughing and having the time of her life, we pulled up to the park just around the corner to my apartment. I waited for her to get off, then put the bike break down and hopped off. She handed me her helmet grinning from ear to ear. It was hard not to stare at her beautiful face. Oh my god! There you go again Damon! Just stop would you?!
We walked to the swings, well I walked, Lilly practically sprinted to them nearly tripping over twice. As I reached her she was swinging high having the time of her life. I shook my head chuckling at her. Why does she make me automatically happy?
"So... What... Did... You... Want... To... Talk... About?" She asked every time the swing came to the bottom next to me. I started laughing at her, man she is funny. I grabbed her swing and slowed her down, so that she was sitting still next to me. She grinned at me, clearly having a great time.
"I want to talk about my reward from our bet..." Her face automatically fell. She closed her eyes looking like she was pained by the thought of explaining, but I had to know.
"What do you want to know?" She finally whispered out, making it difficult for me to hear.
"What kind of relationship do you and Harry have?" I was extremely curious, because from what he said this afternoon, she didn't know anything at all. She let out a sigh, before opening her eyes to look at me.
"We used to date" she stated simply. I gaped at her. Seriously? I got that they dated! I was fricking there when they had their little spat!
"I gathered that, but why are you so foul to him now?" My words came out in a duh tone. She shrugged.
"He cheated on me with my 'best friend' and said that it was my fault" she seemed totally unfazed about saying this, like it happened all the time. I stiffened instantly. He cheated on her and he acts like that around her? Like he owns her and he can do whatever he wants and it doesn't matter?! What a fucking prick! Next time I see him, he is going to get a piece of my mind!
